Tiger33 replied to Tiger33's topic in SETX Youth Sports
Well yes as of now. but they are supposed to be letting Setx Oliers in which they have no zoning requirements and im hearing there talking to Houston teams being let in. Wos did not want to drive back and forth to Houston for ball games. The president says one thing on social media but from one of my sources he is playing both sides of trying to have more teams come in and there is no telling if there will be any zone requirement's -

Well WOS and LCM joined the new league. Silsbee is still with stjfl with the small numbers like they had last year on the senior team it will be hard to compete. -

Silsbee Elite the did not get invite to the new league. Silsbee Lonestar has their own league and plays other teams. Current teams will be in Stjfl will be jasper Lcm silsbee elite, port arthur and beaumont. Setx Oliers might be making a local team in thier league. I believe HF and Hj got a invite to the new league. Its called Golden Triangle football and cheer -
Greetings, This letter is presented to clarify the actions taken by Charter Organizations on Monday, February 24, 2025. On this date, (Nederland Representative) informed the STJFL that several Charter Organizations had made the decision to remove themselves from the South East Texas Junior Football League (STJFL). Nederland, Port Neches Groves, Vidor, Orangefield, Lumberton, and Bridge City were the named organizations who requested to be removed. This request to end years of shared stewardship to the youth of our surrounding area was met with disbelief to say the least. This request was not sought out by the other current STJFL Charter Organizations. The Charter Organizations who requested to leave held steadfast with their decision. As a result, the STJFL did everything within its authority to help them with making a smooth transition. As the STJFL continues its mission to serve as stewards to the youth of our communities, we wish nothing but the best to the exiting organizations as they begin their new journey. We would also like to address the disinformation / rumors that have been brought to the STJFL Board and community. 1. Rumors that the weighted limits currently established have been increased or removed. FALSE: Please note that the Rules Committee for the 2025 Year was formally nominated on February 13, 2025. There is NOT currently a motion for a future date to address weight limits. The weight limits as listed under the most recent March 20, 2023 STJFL Constitution & By-Laws are still binding. 2 / 2 2. Expansion Rumors / Concerns The South East Texas Junior Football League continues to look into ways in which to expand its reach to the youth in our communities. In the year 2024, Hardin Jefferson joined the STJFL and expanded the STJFL mission to serving the youth of Sour Lake and surrounding areas. The vetting steps in which Hardin Jefferson had complete, is still binding under the current March 20, 2023 STJFL Constitution & By-Laws. Any organization who is requesting membership within the STJFL must adhere to the rules and regulations as stated within the STJFL Constitution & By-Laws. As the current Vice President of the STJFL, I hope I’ve provided clarity as to the events of our former organizations exodus. I also hope that clarity was given as it relates to the weighted limits and new organization admittance. The memories and relationships shared with our former organizations will always be a part of the keystone in our foundation. Again nothing but well wishes and success in your future endeavors. Respectfully submitted Carlos D. Hadnot Vice President

I believe they will be better than 6-4. Maybe 8-2. WOS will probably be a contender for the DC.
-
If he would have transferred to Silsbee i wouldn't have been upset lol
-
Congrats Coach!! I see more than 8 wins this upcoming year!
-
Yes Lufkin has some athletes. But i dont want to offend anyones feelings at BH.

I thought Smith called the plays mainly? Congrats coach!!! I would like to see some new offensive plays -
Do we have to win state to contend with Barbers Hill? Id say we have had more playoff wins in the last 10 years compared to BH. The lack of athlete's is the problem not the two prior coaches.
-
Yes it will attract coaches but it will be the same outcome
-
I felt like joseph was gonna be on that list more money but more of a headache
-
Its hard to win with home grown kids now days,
-
Id imagine politics. Just think of all the complaints go back and look at their record there average.
-
I dont know how many move ins they get honestly. But im sure its a quite a few to be competitive year in and year out
-
Imo Lufkin looks like a better job. If you want money Barbers Hill pays well. Westerburg didnt have a Kyler Murry, but did go 11-2 one year at BH. Both coaches im sure are good but they are in a tough division probably need few recruits to get over the hump.

Barbers Hill Coach was making 175k. Surratt would be taking a pay cut going there unless they would top carthage. Also i feel like Carthage has better athletes than barbers hill
