Kirbyville has a great offense...but a lonnng way to go on Defense.....they get those problems solved and they will be a force to be reckoned with

I don't agree with you jdawg03. They have a very physical defense but inconsistant with it. Sweeny won't forget Kirbyville. I am proud of this young group. Pierce Rhodes will lead this young team next year. He has a brother that is coming up and will be playing on varsity next year. Fredrick Rhodes will be a stud in the future. Kirbyville will have nothing but speed on both sides of the ball.

i hope so. anything less than a district title will be a lost.

They should be the favorite in the district next year.

Please!! Kirbyville is too solid to punk out this early. You just be ready for another lose against Kirbyville next year. Next year Bridge City will be totally outmatched, outcoached and out scored in a major blowout next year. No playoffs appearance next year either for those lady birds!!

Silsbee have a pretty good team this year but still not enough to get so cocky just yet. Especially after getting over that hump of the first round. To be honest I was pulling for yall until he predicted and hoping that we lose. You, the preacher and I should root for our district. Newton has never beaten Marlin. Maybe that solid preseason schedule has helped them. I'll ride with what you call "purple pride" that will be Newton. Too close to call though.

Yes I do. Defense is playing pretty solid and of course we will put points on the board. We are not Liberty. We just didn't execute well on defense earlier and the boys know that. Hopefully we can get a rematch. Right now we are concentrating on Sweeny.

Stans92,it sounds to me yall overlooking Giddings this year. Don't start talking crap about about sending us home. Wos beat Kirbyville earlier in the season but doesn't mean it will happen again. Yeah, I hope we get to play Wos again. Defense didn't play solid earlier but, they playing hard now. Kirbyville is a force to be reckoned with and could and will upset Wos. K-ville looked ok tonight. I watched some of the game and they looked pretty solid. I dont know much about Sweeney but I wish you guys good luck. I really think that k-ville is a third round team if they play to their best.

They should go further than that. Offense is going to have to regroup. I think Pierce Rhodes have had enough this year. He was really banged up and hurting. Broderick Jackson and Barry Mitchell at Rb position looked very impressive and explosive last night. These two guys are only sophmores.

We have a good kicker this year. Its just bad play calling in this game. Coldspring will be very tough in the future. They have a bunch of sophmores and juniors just like Kirbyville. I look for this team to be something to reckoned with. Kirbyville's defense played a pretty solid game and our offense didn't click on all cylinders in this game. Pierce Rhodes is banged up and didn't play much. #32, #6 #21 and # 23 will have to step up and be a big impact next week.

This team had all kind of potentials to be a state contender this year. What happened to them? I haven't heard much from them since they waxed us at the begining of the season. :shock:
