  1. I believe it was soulja and me that pissed in his cherrios.  Therefore, no respect for PNG or Central.
  2. Ya'll do replay the show on tuesdays right?  I'll be "out of pocket" and won't be able to listen to the first half of the show.  Don't forget to mention my indians!
  3. PNG and Central both successfully finish final scrimmages in preparation for the 20-4A title showdown.
  4. Won't be much purple in the stands if Dayton/PNG square off (cough cough).
  5. How many of your incorrect predictions this season was because of PNG?
  6. Sgt.  Looking at his "strength of schedule," the two best teams on there beat Crosby bad, real bad.  So that strength of schedule wouldn't help him at all.  He is going to say Dayton, but it doesn't seem that Dayton is playing their best football this year.  I don't believe it to be a "logical fallacy" to say that WB is a better team than Crosby.  He makes this blanket statement but then doesn't tell me why it is wrong.  At least I have seen both schools play and can make a "logical" conclusion based on what I have seen.  Coug doesn't tell me why this conclusion is wrong.  He hasn't seen WB play so he has no idea how good they are.  All he can look at is the W/L record.  Heck, the only team he has seen play from this area is PNG, and we kindly told them to get off of our field with a 37-7 beat down. Oh, and my analysis is spot on with the USC/TCU argument.  TCU, like Crosby, has a much easier schedule than USC.  USC has 1 more loss than TCU, but USC is ranked higher.  WB, by comparison, has one more loss than Crosby.  But WB's strength of schedule is much tougher than that of Crosby.  Heck, WB will be playing the #12 5A team in the state tomorrow.  That sounds a little tougher than Crosby's schedule.
  7. So basically Cougs is only griping for one spot in the rankings.  He believes his team should be ahead of WB.  What does one spot matter?  I by no means have a Beaumont bias.  I rip the beaumont schools every chance I get, but I give them props whenever they deserve them.  Here, WB is better than Crosby.  Just because Crosby has one more victory than WB doesn't mean that Crosby is a better team.   You can look at your greatly touted computer rankings for instance.  You see, USC has 1 loss.  TCU has 0.  USC lost to someone they were suppose to beat.  The computers, although TCU is undefeated, has USC ahead of TCU.  Why, because USC is better.
  8. Who does he want to be ahead of? It took PNG 7 wins to get to the top (not to mention a 37-7 strumming of Crosby). Central has been solid all year (only loss to WB in a very close game). PAM knocked off North Shore. WB would wipe the floor with Crosby. Because Crosby looked so bad at the beginning of the season, they have had to climb out of the "cellar" to get back in the top 10. Be thankful for your 5-seed. If you keep winning, you got a shot at moving up. Remember, the computer polls take into account "who beat who." They aren't based soley on the figures you mentioned. Oh, and if you started low, it takes longer to get to the top than those that started high and keep winning.

  10. Should we bump this til he eats his crow?
  11. NDNTime...Like I said...I saw things one way and you saw things another...The game will be televised and others can see it to. In the grand scheme of things, it's nothing. I probably shouldn't have even mentioned it. I should have known it would lead to this and I hate that I did bring it up. I have a great deal of respect for PN-G fans and the tradition at PN-G. That's why I was disappointed to see what I saw. But, as I said, in the end it means nothing. You did bring up the Victory formation though so let me address that (as I saw it). They lined up in it before half (as you said) but they kneeled the ball and ran out the clock. That is why I said not kneeling the ball was such a surprise. Had they not lined up as they did, I wouldn't have thought anything of it if they had ran straight up the middle and scored. Again, though, let me say that I hate that this comment by me has led to all of this. What I hate most is that an individual can't have an opinion/observation without being called "bias", etc. or having his entire community ridiculted. I promise you that I would have made the same comment (and regretted it just as I do here) if this had occurred at Lumberton. There is no bias..no anger...no conspiracy...just an observation. But, again, I should've known better than to bring it up. I've spent enough time on this board to know that it would lead to a name calling thread. Again, the PN-G fans were great. The atmosphere was great. The facilities are great. The Indians are the team to beat in 20-4A. I hope they go deep into the playoffs. I support 20-4A football and will support the Indians as far as they can go. But, let me have an opinion guys. You don't have to agree with it but don't assume that it's based on some "biased anti-PN-G" crap. It's not. Really. Good luck to ya!!! LR1969, I'm with you. I said that I would have personally taken a knee as I'm sure you would have. But we aren't the ones on the field. These are 16-18 year olds playing with lots of emotion, but you have to respect the fact that PNG didn't even put the ball up in the air in the 4th quarter. Our balanced offense became very unbalanced in the 4th because all we did was run it. PNG killed the clock the entire quarter. And like I said earlier, Vidor had about 5 shots to tackle Harmon on the last run, but just didn't wrap up.
  12. Listen, the game is 48 minutes long. When I was playing, I was told to play every play and go all out until the clock was at zero. I don't think PNG put the ball in the air once in the 4th quarter (except maybe on a 3rd and long). Cutlass, your team kicked an onside kick with 3 minutes left in the game. The NDNs took over at your 48. All the NDNs did was line up, and run the ball down your team's throat. Simple dive plays straight up the middle. This is the simplest way to run the clock down. We are not going to go 3 and out and give your team the ball back. On the last play for PNG, I believe Vidor should have tackled Harmon about 5 different times. If you wrap up, then the TD would never have been scored. Look at all of the stuff you are saying about your Defensive coaching, maybe you need to look there and see where the problem is.
  13. A simple run off tackle turns into a huge uproar. Last time I checked, you are to play until the clock hits 0:00. PNG was not lined up in the victory formation (they lined up in the victory formation before half so Vidor knew what it looked like). Vidor had about 5 shots to tackle Harmon on that play and couldn't bring him down. With that being said, I would have personally just taken a knee. On the next topic. The so-called onside kick was clearly a squib down the middle of the field. The PNG kicker drilled it down the middle of the field but it happened to hit a Vidor player. That Vidor player immediately fell onto the ball. The NDNs didn't even attempt to get it.
  14. If Vidor were to win, I don't think it would be an upset. After all, they were picked to win the district in all of the pre-season polls.
  15. Good win JV, way to set the tone for tomorrow night. It should be a good one!
  16. Sorry about the quotes around Coach. I just didn't want to keep typing Comeaux. Lol, I didn't mean any offense by it.
  17. P.O.D. is the band lol. Lyrics are really "BOOM, Here comes the BOOM. Ready or not, Here comes the boys from the South! BOOM, Here comes the BOOM. Ready or not, Haha, how do you like me now?" -This song definitely be for Memorial and their defense, but I'll claim it for the NDNs.
  18. nobody said that vidor would key on the one back. you must really think vidor's coaches are stupid. they've watched tape of all of png's games probably 10 times, just like png's coaches have of vidor's. nobody loses this game because they aren't prepared. Spoonbill is right. Coach Comeaux wasn't referring to us NDN's as being one-dimensional with one featured back. I'm sure the "coach" is well aware that PNG spreads it out and throws just as much as we run. I think that "coach" was referring to the one-dimensional sets of Livingston. Livingston was much easier to defend than a team like Vidor. With that being said, I still think the NDN's will pull this one out. They have been amazing me all year. Why stop now?

  20. I actually think Vidor could run the wildcat with the best of them. This is because they have 3 solid backs that could be moved around. Vidor could line up the backs in the shotgun, or split them out wide and run end arounds, triple options, etc. Then, when you least expect it, step back and throw the ball down field. Just my 2 cents (and this is a post from a PNG fan).
  21. If we win friday, PNG and Central might just be headed for a showdown Nov.6 at the Babe!
  22. LeForte is still there as the DB's coach. He has done one heck of a job with all of the picks the secondary has had this season.
  23. I'm certain they've been on here reading it. Too bad we can't get a response.
  24. All I'm saying is that Bill Belichick dresses like a hobo and he has 3 rings. The man knows how to get it done.
