  1. No disrespect but how do yall know he is a good one. He has never led a program before.
  2. dont know since he has proven nothing yet. Kind of surprised that PNG would hire someone with zero head coaching experience. He has never ran a program before. I know he was part of a good offense at Permian with a great running back
  3. I wouldnt want someone in the community who doesnt know crap about athletics and coaching football to have a say in anything. I am so sick of hearing tax payers, take your 2 dollars that go toward his salery and keep it. Hell I am sure the coach will be a tax payer to. I have an idea maybe he can go and watch you work at your job once a week and sit on the side and act like he knows what buttons to push. The tapayers have everything to gain. Wouldn't you like to have a say-so in who coaches your team and kids? The Board members are in their positions to LISTEN to what their CONSTITUENTS want, not vice versa. To answer another question by adminbaberuth. In your honest opinion, IF the names were released would you or wouldn't you read the paper or watch tv to see who the applicants were? And in your honest opinion, don't you think IF the names were released that particular newspaper article or television story would be highly watched? The media gains nothing except to give the people what is probably the most talked about situation out there at this particular time. To png-n-d-n fan. Well said, my friend. Well said.
  4. You guys sure don't mind playing around with other people's livelyhood do you? Those that are already there do have wives and kids to feed I'm sure but go ahead and sit at your factory job as an education system/football know it all. By the way. Although teachers do get renewed in February, most dont sign contracts until April and even then all teachers/coaches have until the first of July to opt out of that contract. smitty take your 2 dollars of tax money that goes toward the coaches salary and stick it up your butt
  5. D2 will be in San Antonio Alamo Dome at 2:00 on Saturday
  6. at half time they talk about every game, talk about everman but not once do they mention dayton vs brenham, must be because everman is so close. pretty much tells you what we all think anyway
  7. How did daytons boy do, well in select baseball not so good, yall will kick our butt in baseball no doubt, but in football from 8th grade up we are 34-3 this year. District championships in 8th, 9th, JV, and Varsity.
  8. Lets see, select baseball, you get a bunch of kids together who's parents have enough money to allow their kids to play. This eliminates a large group of kids. They only play with their age group. Sounds alot like what happens in high school. Yea right
  9. Now I'm confused. Are middle school and freshman records significant or not? Unlike other schools... Dayton doesn't squander talent. If I were a competing 4A school going against Dayton in the upcoming years... The 9th grade and 8th grade records are BAD NEWS for the opposition. The 8th graders have tons of speed and size. ps.... They have played two basketball games and have blown out both their opponents It's just that when I mentioned PN-G's freshman winning the district title this year, I got this quote from Texan: It kinda surprised me to see him boasting about the same not so long ago, ya know? I understand now. : No it was the little league quote that got me. The select baseball is a joke. Like I said there are 1000 different champions.
  10. Have you been to any of their playoff games? Did you see they had open all the sections of the dome against Stephenville.Granted this is due to all the support from the sorrounding communities. We have to give credit where credit is due.We don't even have the population to support some of the crowds, but for some reason when we go everyone in the area supports( and it is much appreciated).Another example was when I was at a select baseball tournament a couple years ago and was talking to an assistant coach for Brownwood High School he commented on how well known and respected PNG's football program was. I conveyed to him that we were not doing as well and his response was that it will return because PNG can bring in good coaches when they do decide to bring in new leadership. This guy was an assistant under the winningest all time high school football coach in Texas. When we got Malone he came from Tyler with an established top notch 4A program and also Bruce Bush (who was at Gregory Portland, and later to San Marcus) applied. Bush is way up on the all time winningest Texas coaches list. You may say, well that was back in the 80's.It was and the 80's were way worse than anything we have experienced lately. Add to that the fact that we have a top notch facility now that we did not have then and I would have to say the position is much more appealing now than it was in 1989.Does that address your question texans???????? Then their should be no problem getting almost any top 5A or 4A coach in texas to apply for the job. I hope yall dont try and get our coach from Dayton he will leave for sure
  11. I have been to a home game. 3 years ago watched dayton and at halftime the great png locals were leaving like the place was on fire.
  12. I didnt realize that PNG has only made the playoffs 9 times in the last 30 years. So tell me why is this such a great job across the state.
  13. I can't speak for any of the other groups, but the classes of 2011 and 2012 have already proven their mettle. Witness the district championship wins by both the freshman A and B football teams this year. This is the same group of boys who came within 3 wins of competing in the Little League World Series a few years ago, as 12 year olds, so we should be looking good as far as baseball, too. It's a strong group. The Reservation will not lack for talent over the next few years, and in my opinion it's arguable that they lacked talent this year. Don't forget, this group of seniors won the district football championship as freshmen, too. Time will tell. that is the funniest thing that I have ever heard. Go freshman and little league give me a break. Their are 1000 different divisions everyone is 1 game away from being a champ. lmao
  14. Come on now Dayton made the playoffs 11 times in the schools history with a record of 6-9-1 over a 63 year period. That is 7 playoff years with a record of 2-7 Dayton was 9-41 the five years before Stewart got here. We were a terrible football program going nowhere. 13 playoff seasons in a row with a record of 14-12.
  15. Amen, these people wanting Long need to stop and see who applies before you call for him. I think some might be surprised at some of the names that will apply for this attractive position. I would bet there are some pretty good coaches waiting now to see how this unfolds. Why is it so attractive, is it because of the high pay, is it because of all the athletes, or is it because of all the people that constantly bash the coach. Nice stadium and good tradition. Two positives and three negatives.
  16. Waaa Waaaa Waaa....Dont taunt us....We are the mighty Dayton Broncos who were supposed to beat Livingston by 50! Waa Waaa Waaa... I really hope Dayton gets another thumpin soon like Friendswood gave to them! :'( :'( :'( Roughrider I understand it sucks when you are supposed to win and get it handed to you. sorry buddy
  17. who was lucky, not dayton 460 yards of offense one punt
  18. Nice poster of Livingston vs Dayton with Dayton having a X across it. The best part of the poster was that of AJ and Cody with a big X across their face. I dont know why that fired the rest of the team up so much along with AJ and Cody.
  19. your full of shit, dont mistake hard coaching and playing for showboating, who do you cheer for
  20. Just talked to one of the coaches from Dayton who is friends with one of the Livingston coaches and they said that AJ was slow and that Cody was over rated. Also said the the OLine could not block and the defense was soft.
  21. That might be the funniest thing I have ever heard. The dayton fans, players and coaches want to thank the school board. The last 2 nights I went and watched the team practice on a dry field under the lights until around 6:30. I talked to AJ and I have never seen him so fired up. Word is the Livingston players have been talking and the coaches sent a text message that AJ is not very good. So thank you livingston. You should see the bulletin board material that is up in the locker room. Where does this stuff come from. Nice typed letter. Has some good stuff on how Livingston is going to crush the soft Dayton Broncos.
