I will throw my two cents in. When I was in College in the mid 90's, I was fortunate to work with the football program at Texas A&M. We had three RB's that ran in this range. Greg Hill, Rodney Thomas and Leland McElroy. They ran against each other and the times were 4.37,4.34 and 4.29. That was three guys out of 100. All three played pro. But really, the statement that a 4.4 is not uncommon I think is out there. Even at you D-1 programs 4.4 is special. Until you put them on a regulation track and on electronic timer, I do not believe a 4.4. And I have seen a bunch of kids run in the 2a district and 1a district. JMHO

I got info that the district is 1.2 million short. There was two other people RIFed, a counselor and attendance clerk. It does not sound good.

Swampdude, I was told the term rif was used. I did not take that phone call. I was not sure on the contract,and was reasearching that. Thanks for the clarification. Hopefullý that will help these people out.

I have heard that there are some coaches(various sports) that have been RIFed in the past week. It was my understanding that this occurred after coaching school(They are interviewing at coaching school). I know this is happening in other lines of work, but it is hard to find a coaching job a week before the season starts. As with the others who have lost their jobs, keep them in your thoughts and prayers

Gatorade has pulled the sponsorship of the THSCA. Maybe the Texas High School Coaches should pull their support of Gatorade. If all of the coaches that used Gatorade pulled their support, that would be a huge sales loss. I was able to verify this with THSCA.
