In no particular order... Of the girls I saw this year, here are mine. * Being a homer, I would say that the three HJ girls would start for any team in this area... Even though she was not the mvp of the district, I would put up Fontenot from HJ as the mvp ( she seemed to have the best all around game of all the players listed... She averaged a double double in pts and rebounds for the season and had severla triple doubles and a quadruple double this season.... She can defend from all positions on the floor, rebound, shoot, etc... Hargraves-Ktz Moore-HJ Sutherland - HJ Wagner-O-field Washington-Silsbee Brown-Ozen Deaver-Kountze Fontenot-HJ Heard- WOS

HJ wins 8-2..... Derrick Gautreaux went 4-4 with 2 doubles. Freshman Hayden Greer went 6 2/3 giving up two runs to get the win for HJ. HJ in the Kirbyville tourney this weekend.

No they should not...... It is part of the game.... If you don't like the spread, learn how to defend it correctly. If run correctly, it can devestate a team.... If they do this, they also should outlaw zone defenses, as they make the game boring as well.

Great job by freshman pitcher Cain Draper.... He went 5 innings giving up only 1 run... Several crucial double plays turned by HJ in key situations. Josh Denton hit a solo homerun for the hawks and HJ had several with DEEP flyout to dead center.

ahh.... everyone wants it..... some just execute better. I have never understood that phrase..... I REALLY want to win the lottery! Probably more than anyone else! Me wanting it more doesn't count for much. (A midget with no arms can "want" to win an arm wrestling tournament, but he will lose.... even if the other guy doesn't "want" it more.)

The headlines are misleading..... Banks actually approached the NBA about a loan... This money would be in a pool that NBA teams could borrow from should the need arise.

We are going to need to shoot a little better than we have in the past few games. If we can get back on defense and limit break away layups, I love our chances. They gamble alot on defense looking for steals.
