Nederland - don't see them being knocked off the top 2. Central - before the coaches lost there brains central was a powerhouse football team and if BISD pulls a good one then they should return back to the top 3. Vidor - should see a lot of young kids getting serious playing time from freshman level. Freshman tied for dc (I think) so we have talent on that level. I think it will show next year. That plus the kids finally believe in the program helps a lot. I have them tied for fourth. 4. PNG - solid program who rarely has two down years in a row plus have serious talent on freshman team but unless faircloth focuses on defense a lot I see them being an offensive team and that's gonna be hard to our score offenses like central Nederland and vidor. Ozen Livingston Lcm Lumberton 8)
PNG freshmen won dc...undefeated...no tie.  ;)
Like I said I think lol. Thanks for the correction lol.
lol...no problem!

So the Juniors and Seniors of next year will be able to handle PNG's current freshman when it comes head to head.
My comment was about the part where he said Vidor freshmen tied for dc...didn't say anything about Nederland.

Nederlands freshman group is pretty darn good.
Yes they are...very strong team

 6. I think a neutral site would be a good idea...not sure what would happen if it were to come down to that.
 7.
for png they need to beat livingston and vidor(both home games) and need lumberton to lose to lcm or livingston.lumberton has to go to livingston which is tough.dont see either team beating one of the big 3 but you never know.
Not necessarily...if both teams lost to top 3, and won other two games, they would be tied for 4th and tied head-to-head...they'd play a game to decide who gets 4th spot from what I understand, if this is what happens.
 8. PNG has uniforms similar to West Virginia University's this year...they had the pants for 2012 season, and should have the jerseys for 2013 season from what my son says.  They will look really good once they have the jerseys!
 9. Too much purple??  How is that possible?!  haha...

Badndn....I agree on reasons why 2012 went poorly for PNG... Think the Offensive woes will see improvement next season....what about running game....is there someone coming in with solid attack. 2-3 years from now, it sounds like if adjustments are made, PNG could be fighting for it DT again. I think enough bugs in the ears regarding Defense have not gone "unheard" after this season  at the Reservation. Also, agree that winning the line of scrimmage is where so many successful teams win it.  Alabama always does this well.  Doesn't really matter who is back there running for them, with holes that open, I could run through them (well, not really, not too much running anymore).  Do you know about running attack that PNG has to look forward to?
Brant Halfin will be a Jr next year and was the bell cow for JV for much of the season. He reminds me of Harmon and Bertrand alot. He is quick between the tackles and always moving forward. He wont wow you with spead, but just like Harmon and Bertrand he will move the chains. And to complement him they have a Sophomore to be, named Cropper that is very fast and elusive that could see some time next year as well (I would suspect he could be the KO return guy on Varsity and could get 4 or 5 carries, maybe even a few catches in space to get him outside). The backup RB on JV, Duhon I think was his name, ran very well also when Halfin was out late in the season. The key again to the running game will be better line play. Most of them return so they will have experience. I would be shocked if the running game didnt vastly improve next season. Which will improve the passing game and the defense.
Agree that a more solid passing attack will help running game which will help passing game.  Is Halfin going to be SR next season?  Bertrand was good so was Harmon.  Pounding those yards out is effective.  Will be good to see PNG more like themselves next season.
Halfin will be a JR next year

If that's true, and I see no reason to believe otherwise, I think Faircloth made a great decision and that both of them will serve very well in those positions.
Seriously.....The freshman has yet to take a varsity snap, hasnt even been through a high school offseason, or even competed against anyone for the job....Do you really believe this? No knock on either of them as Im sure both are more than capable. Surely you dont believe he has already been handed the job.
My argument isnt that the freshman can or cant do the job.....I just dont see Faircloth  telling him the job is his before offseason even starts. You dont tell this young man this, you let him know he has the opportunity to earn it. Actually, he did take a few snaps in the Texas City scrimmage...granted, it wasn't against their first string, but he did a good job...I for one am looking forward to the 2013 season.

This is the only part of your post I was replying to.  And yes, you're right...he will have to earn it.

I have watched many of these players for 2-3 years, and I do not claim to be a player evaluator: 1. Weisbrod 2. Johnson 3. Wileridge 4. Green 5. English 6. Hunter 7. Lott 8. Pearson 9. Bosha 10. Zeno 11. Holmes 12. Hadnot 13. Chapman 14. Elam 15. Hunter 16. Paige 17. Lormier-Ned 18. DeVaugn Thomas-Silsbee 19. Mitchell 20. AJ Smith-PNG 21. Dante Wilson-Silsbee 22. Jacoby Jones-Ozen I have also not seen T. Edwards play.
there is noooooooooo way AJ Smith should be up there
I would have to agree with you on that!!!!!
same here. Did nothing against Kelly except a couple of blocks which is expected with the huge height advantage he had.
he big for nothin, i would say he need to stick to football, but you seen how his season turned out lol  :o :P
Nice way to talk about a high school kid... ::)  Could've sworn this was a thread about who we think is a top player.  All have different opinions.
 16. Yes he is...he's a great athlete and young man!
 17. How are your underclassmen teams looking? I only know the PNG freshmen record, but hearing great things about Ned.  PNG Freshmen are 12-1 including tournaments played.  They placed 3rd in BC tournament (only losing to HJ), and 1st in Vidor and Ned tournaments.  Friday, they won vs HJ 72-70 in OT.  These boys are playing some great basketball...so much fun to watch!
