Vidor is not a true rivalry, but they are fun to play since Mathews has taken over

Wow #1 for Ozen is fast

I watched the replay several times as well and I thought he was in, remember it's where the ball is when the but hits the ground and even thow his but hit inside the one yard line the ball was in his right hand which was the side closest to the goal line and from what I saw the ball broke the plane. Remember the ball doesn't have to be in the end zone, if the tip of the ball touches the white it's a score. WOS had the game won but didn't finish it, I'll bet they won't let that happen again.

Nederland, I think they will be to tough between the tackles this year, but you never know. That's why you play the game. I know for sure we don't want a track meet, if that happens it won't be good for Nederland.

Nederland will take this one in a close game. Once you are exposed to some speed you can start to make adjustments, thats why Coach Nuemann likes to play Dayton and WOS in non district games, it helps to prepare you for Central and Ozens speed in district. After WOS loses to Nederland the grumbling will start at WOS.

Anyone know if the scrimmage was played or not, haven't heard anything about it.

Does anyone know anything about the scrimmage friday in galveston, is it a head to head or are three teams involved? I wonder why it is scheduled so early on a weekday and not on saturday

Nederland's primary formation will be a FB and either a HB or TB  with one TE, WR and a Slot receiver, the play action pass will be a big weapon this year. Gone is the Wild dog, he went to TCU, the spread will be used sparingly, finally we will see a balanced offense with misdirection, traps and pulling linemen and what works with all of this is the play action pass. It reminds me of Dallas back when JJ was winning Superbowls, run the ball, big play action passes down the field,  3rd down passes to the TE to keep the drives going and solid defense and special teams play.

Nederland lost to Arkansas, don't have details at this time, other than the ride is over for this year.

I really thought this would take a few days and be done ? I guess it's not as cut and dryed as i would have thought, is there some bad blood within the district that would make them hire someone else, this seems like it's sending a bad message

Maybe PNG and Barbers Hill will meet in the 1st round in a two out of three.

I still think PNG gets in the playoffs along with Nederland and LCM, the hunt for the other spot I think will come down to Lumberton , Vidor and Livingston. There's alot of baseball left and all of these teams will have their chances to prove they belong, or not.

This has got to be tough for PNG and Coach Brevell, very good team and a great Coach, but right now they are just snake bit.
