Can you guys take your toys and start a new topic. I really like keeping this one to Nederland wins!! Soulja you gonna buy me some popcorn and coke???
English is really good! Actually I've stated to Soulja he's IMO their best player. But, he won't score 31. Central is too long and athletic. The Jags will make him take difficult shots. He will score some, just not 30.
Can't imagine how hard it is for Coach English to juggle being the head coach and dad. Just once I'd like to see English let loose the best shooter in the area just to see how he would light it up. Being the coach that he is he wouldn't do that and I understand and respect that totally, still I wonder just what that kid could do if they fed him the shot time and time again. 31 might just be cutting him short....Would be fun to see!
I told Soulja the same thing. He should be featured with everyone else as role players.
Featuring him is what I refer to as the hard part as far as being the head coach and dad at the same time. Call me greedy or foolish, but just once turn the kid loose, win or lose, good game plan or bad game plan, just once feature him for the entire game. The kid has earned it, and he is a senior, plus, I just like the kid and his attitude, all around great kid....Now if they come out and beat Central playing a slowed down half court game that pounds the ball inside and they win,,,,, forget everything I said, well, almost every thing....Dogs win this on Soulja......
Do you want Nederland to rain 3's on us or pound it on the inside, James?
First Soulja i need to let you know there really isn't much difference in football forum and basketball forum, all district go through Nederland. Wow! never thought I'd ever be able to say that, but how true,,,champs in both right now,,,, now for a more serious topic, I simply want to see the English kid featured more, that is just me as a fan with a want, I want the win, but would just like to see him go off and the team feed off of him for an entire game, just once...I have no dog in the fight just a fan with a want,,, the district still goes through Nederland until they are no longer champs....

 5. In order for the Dogs to win they need to turn English loose and let him rain in 3's,,,,,,little partial to watching this kid shoot the ball. Hope he rips twenty 3 point attempts.....
 6. Nederland wins 58 to 53 behind a hot hand of English raining 3's! I would love to see this kid get 20 looks behind the arch, just one night! Never know!!!
 7. Good luck to all finalists! Kid from Vidor is a player. True statements made about All-state selections. You really need some Houston exposure to make it. Always helps to go two rounds deep in the playoffs so you do.
 8.
I thought Carson came in when our QB went down in the 3rd quarter against Brenham in Reliant Stadium.  He started every game since, please correct me if I am wrong.  Carson, you have a special place in Bulldog History, well deserved and earned.  Congratulations! Good luck in your future and best wishes.
That was Bellows.
 9.
Big shout out to all the Nederland players for their hard work in making the list. Like to give a special shout to my son Brock Pryor for making the list 3 years and 1st Team the last 2. I told you all that hard work would be worth it Mom sister and I are so very Proud of you and we Love You.. May GOD continue to Bless all these young men as they turn the page in their lives.
Enjoyed watching Brock play over the years. Kid gave us his best every down. Hope he get's the chance to continue to play.
 10.
1. Nederland - lots returning on both sides of the ball. 2. Central - impressed with the young QB and has some talent around him 3. Vidor - they graduate a lot, but Matthews has built a program 4. Ozen - they always find a way to get in recently, I like the new QB 5. LC-M - talented QB and some WRs return 5. PN-G - Rose will have a huge year, but no D= no playoffs. Fresh class good but not yet.. 5. Livingston - don't know much about them, but always speedy 8. Lumberton - good frosh class, but hard to depend on youngsters
I agree with jake94,,,,
 11. Heck the kid is going both ways for Nederland now, why not do both, after Nederland wins state we fly him to the game. Congrats to one of my favorite Dogs to watch play.
 12. I don't think Georgetown has the individual player talent as Dawson had. They do however seem to play better as a team. Nederland is at a different level on defense now. Beating the Dawson team raised their confidence to another notch. Georgetown has not seen 4 down lineman as dominating as Nederland and linebackers who are smart and can cover the running backs on pass plays, something Georgetown does. This will make our secondary even better. Maybe Georgetown has a slight edge on speed but I'll take our pass rush and man cover and move on to next week. All our offense has to do is be patient. Let Hopkins pound on em for first downs, eat up the clock, and win 24 to 20. Bye the way, I'm already standing at the gate waiting for them to let me in.......Anyone need me to save them a seat????
 13. [Hidden Content]] Georgetown QB highlight tape and stat sheet on team [Hidden Content]-(georgetown,tx)/football/stats.htm Fast pace offense, quick play calling. They haven't seen anything all year like our defense!! I see a pic 6 in the making and multiple sacks......
 14. One of my favorite times of the game was when our dominant defense would tackle #2 and drive him back in the ground. I just know our linemen were talking smack while he was laying on his back. Something like, this is what a REAL defense feels like, get use to it. Seems like every time we nailed him to the ground he didn't like being there. Gotta love a dominant defense. Dawson couldn't do nothing but throw the Hail Mary backyard playground pass. I may be not giving our defense and coaches enough respect, make that 9 our of 10 times we bear Dawson.
 15. I forgot to mention the Spell connection. The Spell family is as good as it gets people. We, meaning our town, is lucky to have men coaching our kids with the character they carry. Next Saturday can't get here soon enough.
 16. Couldn't be more happy to see Seth Barrow catch the game winner, ever more happy due to the Coach calling the plays being his Dad and Coach. I'm not sure what play was called but when Raines extended the play and found Barrow in the endzone to me it was the perfect ending to a great game and moment that both Dad/Coach/Son/Player and all us fans will never forget.
Really, playing at Reliant is special. We are 2-1 there. Oh, you mean we shouldn't breathe the same air? Dude, who are you trying to kid? You can tell you are from Dawson.....probably a player. 22-19
Son your team got lucky.. Leave it at that.. Have fun losing next week.. I might bring you some tissues for your tears.
If you have any left over after you are done with them please do. Look Dude, Nederland right now could line up with Dawson and play you guys 10 straight games and win 8 of them. That is how dominant our coaches were, players were and heck our band was last night. Get over it, your team needs discipline and it starts with the coach. Your coach was right, the better team did not win last night, THE BEST team did. Move on, better yet, move out of the way, we are done with Dawson, NEXT!!!
 18. I picked Shaw to score first but Barrow too always seems to make the big play when we need one. Pound for pound the Barrow kid is solid.
 19.
I hope it's 1 of the front for with a turnover for a score or a safety.
that type of score would definitely get the crowd into it.
 20. Defense holds with a game starting 3 and out by the boogieman then Shaw starts it off for Dogs with a 30+ yarder from Raines in 1st quarter.
 21.
Everybody is alive and well, including Bob..TV has changed over the last few years in the GT..We have gone mobile and do every game we can, youtube has helped. We are really striving to do more games as we have in years past..Mobile Internet will help us get back to where we were, only this time with the ability to reach more people. I miss the local games more than you know!
I miss the two of you covering them as well! good times!

I was there. That first long run was like the second play for Ned. Too bad you don't have the clip for the LM player landing out of bounds on the TD.
I have that clip as well baddog, clearly out of bounds, also the face mask call against us which later the ref admitted to blowing the call. That call led to the out of bounds catch by LaMarque. Oh well, this Friday the Dogs change Reliant Luck in their favor!!!
Well we are 1-1 at Reliant we beat Brehnam the next year there.
Remember that one well too, lost a very good QB, Sampere, that game. Dogs Reliant Rally for big win this year!!!!
