1.
Nederland....Smith,Lasell,Dup,Richard,Brown,Pitts ,Fontenot,Brousard...........Looks good to me ;)
Ryan Quinn looked great against Bridge City (3 up 3 down), Aldine, West Brook and Cy-Ridge (got the win according to PA News). Outing against WOS did not get the outside corner called, several walks and 1 hit. Could have easily gone the other way.
 2. Any news regarding the Cypress Falls tourney? Nederland is playing at 5:00 & 7:30.

Thanks for the updates baseballfans
As usual, glad to do it.
Sounds like Kelly is for real this year. Two games in a row against very good teams and both went down to the wire.
 4.
40 to 29 at half. We are dominating inside. Foul trouble could be a problem for us in the second half. However our depth has really shined. And our shooting isn't great either.
All season long the Dawgs have really turned it up in the 2nd half. Let's make it a blow out!

 6. NHS brought up a good point about do you want a kid making Varsity and seeing little playing time or do you want your kid playing JV and playing everyday? My kid is a senior and this is his first year to play on the Varsity team. By playing JV the last 2 years he was one of the starting pitchers instead of maybe just getting a few innings here and there. He doesn't throw 88-90 but since he was 13 has always been very effective. He doesn't get 10-15 strikeouts a game but does a great job in keeping the ball in play. Don't get me wrong, it would have been nice for him to have been on Varsity already but then again the kid just wants to play ball. I decided long ago to just stay out of the way and let the coaches make the decisions. It is best for the players and the team.
Hubbard looked good for BC.   Pitts faced 5 batters and none reached base had 2 ks.  I left early but was told Laselle did a good job as well for Nederland.  It's early and it was cold so several pitchers had some control issues.
Ryan Quinn looked good. 3 up and 3 down.
 8. [Hidden Content] Just getting energized for this coming season.

 10. I remember back before Lamar scrapped the football program the star quarterback was arrested for stealing hubcaps. Now that was a proud moment in Lamar's history. Kids just never seem to appreciate what they have until it is too late.

 12. Congrats to the 4th seeded Major League Dodgers on winning the championship! You definitely showed your true colors today!  ;D ;D ;D
 13.

1.  PNG-  2 D1 players in Stone and Jalali.  Stone is the best returning pitcher in the district.  Throw in Gizzi, Denzlinger, Knox etc and the               Indians should be tough.  Can Brevel win district in his 1st year on the job? 2.  Nederland-  Bellow and Laird left some big shoes to fill.  Smith, Pitts, Brown, and Raines all have talent, but haven't thrown many varsity                     innings. They will have to step up for the Dogs to have a shot at the district title.  Offensively they should be fine led by                     TCU signee Sonnier, Smith, Schlett, and Pitts.   3. Vidor-  With Armstrong, Hagler, and Maxwell on the mound, Vidor looks to have a solid staff.  Needs some bats to step up and to play better               defense, but the Pirates should make the postseason. 4.  LCM-  Griff re-loads every year, so they will make the playoffs again and win a few series.  Ryan Cariline was really impressive on the                mound and at the plate this past summer, so I expect big things from him. 5. Lumberton 6. Livingston 7. Ozen 8.  Central
What D1 School is looking at Amir...Last I heard he has not committed to anybody...I will go with Nederland with the rotation they have SMITH BROWN PITTS RAINS FONTENOT... COLE will also eat some innings... All with varsity experiance ..png has Stone & Knox ??? who else to pitch...I guess Stone will have alot of innings this year...He had about 6 innings in district last year..
There is also a 6' 5" RH pitcher named Ryan Quinn who is an excellent starter. Will give Nederland some good innings. Ryan had a really good summer with the Gladiators and will do very well as a pitcher for varsity next season.
 14. OU sucks but apparently not as much as Texas  ;D ;D
 15.

[IMG][Hidden Content]]
:D
Must be OU nerd day!
 16.
Nederland gave up over 300 yards on the ground to Vidor! I don't care if this is Midcounty Madness..I don't care if this will be at Nederland's home. PNG will beat Nederland by 21 points. Nederland's defense just can't stop the run and the big pass plays. They make huge mistakes every game. Yes PNG has given up huge chunks of yardage but the offense knows how to put up the points on the board. 35-14 is my prediction.
Ugh??  ??? ??? Do you like your crow medium or well done?  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
 17.
We did have a couple of kid's throwing up throughout the game on the sideline but that's not why we got beat.
I'm sure there were a few PNG fans throwing up too  ;D ;D
 18.
PNG could be best 1-9 team in the area. Had a summer league team like this, lost in the bottom of 9th to many times. Great win Dogs.
My favorite quote in the "We Are Marshall" movie is "winning is everything and nothing else matters...it ain't how you played the game".  ;D ;D
 19. Hey PNG...in case you forget the score..39-32 we will remind you during both basketball games we play you this coming season.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
 20. All I have to say is great win for the dogs and..well..looks like PNG loses another close game  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
 21. It was the 4th quarter with 1:02 left and Nederland was ahead 24-17. A car going by backfired and Nederland ran off the field thinking the game was over. 6 plays and 2 timeouts later PNG scored a touchdown. PNG lost the game 24-23 when their extra point kick was wide left. ;D ;D ;D ;D ??? ??? ??? ??? ;D ;D ;D ;D :D :D :D :D
 22. Our prayers from Nederland go out to the Garrett family. 13 years ago next month, I lost my sister-in-law due to a brain aneurysm. She was only 32 and left behind a husband and 7 month old daughter. I was shocked then and still have a hard time dealing with it. Believe me, it takes a bunch of prayers and support to get on with life after something like this happens.
 23.
Tonight
Who won the game?
