Were parents support their kids in great numbers and they get a better education based on numbers than Westbrook does or any school from Beaumont except Kelly. :P
Hey PMS Orange, We support our kids in great numbers too...use what ever numbers you want tampax, if my boys are in the top 15% of their class....They're probably number one or two in Orangefield...
Dont sell yourself short. Top 15% at Westbrook is likely at least salutatorian at Orangefield. I don't dislike Orangefield, but two things I've realized over the years is 1. they don't pay, and aren't willing to hire a big time coach. As long as your a yes man and buddies with the sup, you get the job. 2. They are fantasy minded. They start off 3-0 with wins over Buna, Tarkington and any other annual scub they think they are great. Any time they play a decent team they lose. Its been a long time since OF has had a legitmite team that could compete with anyone decent. But you'll have a hard time convincing them of the truth though.
I agree...

I wish i could come down there and watch their spring game to watch that big 6-5 245 pound qb destroy his so-called competition.
OK new guy with only 11 posts. Very defensive over something that probably isn't decided yet. Sounds fishey to me. Is it someone who needed to create a new profile to say this or is it someone connected and upset? Maybe both? I guess time will tell. What do you mean by so called? What kind of coach would not make their starting QB position be a competition? One that is not very smart. What if there IS someone better? Have you answered all these questions to yourself? I bet not!!!!!
I agree with Jack...you got to earn it...Jr is in competition with the coach's son at WB...what Jr did last season....was last season....sorry, this year we have worked harder than last year....If I were Forney's dad, I'd just work him as hard as possible....I tell Jr not to be satisfied being the starting Qb at WB....shoot to be the best you can be! if that means ALL SETXSPoRTS.COM or ALL AMERICAN..or neither...so be it...do your best.
I just don't know if we have a durable back...it seems like we are cursed with naggin injuries to our backfield...Lil Stump will be fine...it's all about trying to win STATE!! I told jr he's gonna be around 190 or more by Aug., so if coach needs a RB, WR, FS, LB, Guard, tackle, or just a QB....Jr will be ready for his team. -

I don't get it......I mean I guess I can show up tomorrow...and decide to be the superintendent and name the next building after me and there isn't a damm thing anyone can do about it...."It's who you elected in office"...what ever, if he's jacking it up...then he needs to be fired... the work for education is done in the trenches...ok he got us the bond....it's here! now he needs to go....this way we can get our district admin back to respectable.
You are correct. The state pulled his master license shortly after all this went down. Because he obtained it by lying about his work history and the supposed hours of experience he had obtained. But I heard through the grapevine the other day, that the state had re-issued him his license back. Go figure! It seems that the guys that are honest and try to do things the right way, always seem to finish last.....and the cheaters come out on top! Kinda parallels the BISD administration, dont you think? Tell me sfa-85 how many football games has carroll thomas won for bisd.
None. Zarharius, Ozen, WRS, and Durley have their names on buildings/awards. Now how many buildings have these greats built? Zero. If it wouldn't be for CBT bringing bond issues up, we would have the same raggedy buildings, and portables @all campuses........
How many buildings has Thomas built? NONE! Anyone who brings a bond for the community to vote on, lying in the community and telling half truths about his true intentions could get a bond passed. Carroll Thomas is nothing more than a David Moore. WB Bear, since you are on the inside, are you familiar with Thomas giving a contract to one of his buddies to do all the electrical work for one of the new schools for around $1.2 million? If your not learn about it. Several electrical contractors in the area, including myself bid on the job, which is about a $400,000 job (just for the electrical work), and he gives it to one of his buddies (one of the only black electricians in the area) for $1.2 million. Nothing wrong with that is there, heck, its tax payers money anyway. Besides his inflated salary, and bonuses, no telling how much money he gets on the side.
What school was that?
Don't worry Beaumont will never fill those stands on a regular basis and the sports complex will be a flop. But it is pretty. Here is what I predict, Beaumont will have one mega school in the future. Sound familar. Get ready tax payers it is coming. Maybe a while but it is coming. It will come to that someday so BISD can afford to pay the salary of Dr Thomas. By then he will need a condo in Florida and another car allowance for his great grandchild. ;D ;D
You must be related to "CLEO"
I would suggest people drive to Fort Bend ISD and see all the new construction since 2000 which includes 4 new high schools. And Trippy, it's called White Flight. Alot of you left PA after the layoffs in '82 and '84 SFA, Fort Bend ISD for one is having money issues and laying teachers off right now. Second, FBISD has 68,000 students, 31.42% Black, 23.71%, 23.02 Hispanic, 21.78% Asian, and 0.19 American Indian. Thats straight from the web site of FBISD. You gotta come with something better than that. Maybe next time say like the Woodlands, Katy is not even high ratio of white. Texas is a melting pot, and the majority of school districts are as well. I think it has to do with the area mentality and socio-economic status. Black students at FBISD,Katy ISD, Conroe ISD are getting great education. PA is the armpit of Texas, and until they get a grip on the THUGS in that town it will continue to go down.
Good post "home boy"... :D
I have a very good friend who moved their child from West Brook to Port Neches. That child told me that everything was harder at Port Neches. Education and athletics. Seems Port Neches works their kids a lot harder and prepares them for life a little better than West Brook.
Well I work with a slue of MidCounty grads. Seems like they do well in Brown-nosing vs. actually learning the job but that's just me.....
I agree with you about the white kids. You did not say that, I did. I would not say "brown nose" I would say "LAZY" and spoiled. In reallity that is all kids not just white and not all kids are spoiled. See that is the American way in this day and time. Also voters are not always tax payers. So don't you think the actual people who pay taxes should have some say so. White, black, asian, mexican, and all other ethnics groups.
My kids live and attend the West End schools....there isn't a place in PA that compares to it! As for Mid County, I like it, but I like the ethnic diversity at West Brook....you can generalize all the kids and parents you want...I care most about what happens between the four walls my family live in....It's how you react to what happens to you in this world that will make a difference. Read that a couple of times... ;D

At this point in time, I regret to say that I am a BISD taxpayer! SgtRey, I saw you at the board meeting....what are your thoughts on it?
I have never been to a meeting before....from what it sounds like apparently he is given credit for intergrating schools and improving the overall district's education. I had no idea of the racism that excisted here....more so, the reverse racism (if that's such a phrase)...It's ok for african american to dislike the white man, but if the white man dislikes the african american....your facing the 3rd degree....what ever!....I hate everybody that uses race as an excuse for one's success or an excuse for one's failure. YOU CAN NOT DENY HARD WORK.... I THINK THE STADIUM SHOULD BE NAMED AFTER MR NIELD, THE ONLY PERSON ON THE BOARD THAT SPEAKS THE TRUTH AND IS NOT AFFRAID TO STAY QUIET. HE ALSO THE ONE THAT VOTED AGAINST IT.....
