1. I was told that the Superintendent just promoted the basketball coach as asst. AD and when  Hooks retires he will become AD.The school board and Superintendent didn't have any money back in the summer to bus the kids from extracurricular activities and that it didn't do anything to promote education.  They overspent on fixing up the front of the building by over 2 million dollars (which didn't do anything to promote education) and now they are taking a coach out of a classroom (which they are going to have to fill with another person) and promoting him to a position that has never existed before at WOS and giving him extra funds. ....."how about promoting someone who has been loyal and has given 30+ years of service to the district and who is deserving of it?"  It's just proof that the powers to be, can do anything they want to do and don't care who they hurt in the process.
 2. The topic is about Thomas not skipper and AggiesWeAre fighting.
 3.

This is going to be a good meet with most of the area big schools and some houston schools scheduled to be in P.A. on this day. Look for the Titans to take down WO-S in all relays also. ;) ;D
:D Yea ok.  :D ;)
;D we have surprise for Franks and company ;D You better pray for rain. :D
I'm hearing the Titans want let the top 2 WO-S runners compete this weekend.  J/K  :) :) :)
 4. West Orange-Stark has a long history of producing top-notch college prospects. From Deon Beasley and Earl Thomas to James Haynes to the Franks trio of Kerry, Jacoby, and Trey, college coaches have tapped into the 3A program for big-time playmakers.   Justin Thomas is already hearing from a handful of schools. In 2011, Reggie Garrett and Mark Roberts are already attracting attention, and Justin Thomas is beginning to see things pick up in the 2012 class. At 5-8, 160 pounds, Thomas has worked both sides of the ball, and while working at cornerback has gone against some of the best competition around. "We've just got good people all around," Thomas said. "People like Trey Franks and Mark Roberts, and you've got to compete with them every day and they just make you better." He is expected to play both ways in 2010, but when it comes to the field there is one place he feels most at home. "I'm kind of liking cornerback now," he said. "I like just hitting and being physical with the receivers." He has already attended the Schuman National Underclassman Combine at Spring Westfield and is looking into attending an Under Armour Combine as well as the Schuman Ultimate 100 Combine. As far as colleges go he is keeping an open mind but would like to attend camps at Texas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, and LSU this summer. He is starting to receive some interest from Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M, and has discussed attending the same school as one of his current teammates. "Me and Mark Roberts, we're talking about going to the same college," he said. "I'm not getting as much (attention). He's getting a whole lot of colleges looking at him." Currently Thomas is competing with the West Orange-Stark track team and has been enjoying the success. "I'm first leg on the 4x1," Thomas said. "We're doing pretty good so far. We've won every track meet except this one last night. Sometimes I run the 4x2, the third leg." On the football field he is looking to add some bulk to his frame, and continue the long history of success at West Orange-Stark by adding a state championship ring to his list of accomplishments.

 6.
Yes, WO-S too.  I'm glad that WO-S, as a team, participated in this meet, but I think that it's wrong when you say...well, your TEAM can enter our meet, but only if your TWO BEST INDIVIDUALS don't.  Come on now.  That's a crock.  Besides, you will not be able to keep them out of district and you can only test yourself and get better if you run against the best/fastest. Oh well, way to go Mustangs.  Not too shabby.  Wish I could go to the TSU relays, but job says I can not.  Good luck there too!
Do you mean Franks and Haynes were not aloud to compete.

 10. Since Austin Westlake were out of challenges---the play stands as called on the field---TOUCHDOWN    :) :) :)
 11. From KOGT         West Orange-Stark Coach Dan Hooks always has a tough time getting people to play him in the pre-district schedule.  That has gotten tougher as LCM has said they won’t schedule WOS or Bridge City for the next two years as Coach Randy Crouch looks to shake up his schedule with some new opponents
 12.
well it looks like we missed out on the snow just rain maybe next year
SKIPPER might just be right for the first time.   :) :)

I think Newton will be their toughest team so far this year to play, and if they underestimate the Eagles, it will be a long ride home for Dfield! Newton has a great team this year, and I think they could win this game. I think it will be a close game like last year, but this year with Newton on top! LETS GO NEWTON, KVILLE FANS PULLING FOR YOU!!!! LETS GO ALL THE WAY!  ;D
I'm pulling for Newton to upset Dangerfield and Gilmer was by far thier toughest game this year.

 16. And if Hooks does retire this year, I'm not to sure Cornel gets the job with some of our school board members.  That would mean we lose Hooks and Cornel.
 17. I, myself think Dan will hang it up this year. I think he is tired of all the schoolboard members crap.

 22.
I don't think he did.  Beasley is the 4th best corner on the team.  He played the other day because #8 Chykie Brown was hurt and it was a blowout.  Beasley put himself behind the eight ball early, because he was ineligble for grade reasons.
He might be the 4th best corner but he starteD Saturday against OSU.
 23.
Is Beasley still starting?
Deon Beasley did start against OSU.
