Exactly. Stump had no problem benching someone who didn't perform or basing the offense and defense around who was available. Hence why he turned the weakest Humble ISD school into a state powerhouse and why Brook went from regional powerhouse to a laughing stock.

Open enrollment back in the 2000s is a big reason for West Brook's surge in football. I was zoned to Central because I grew up and lived in the north end but open enrollment made transferring to Brook easy. A lot of star WB guys back in the 2000s would have been at Ozen and Central if zoned schools were mandatory at the time.
