I can't believe we gotta go to Livingston again this year and listen to Reba announce football for 4 quarters - 2 years in a row...  what's up with that?  I think I would rather argue with smitty about the DC...

Funny how things have changed...  last year PNG wrapped my yard and left a few thousand purple and white plumes--guess they were getting all the football players.  It was kindof funny, and I was really glad they didn't vandalize anything like I would have done at that age!  I was picking up those purple feathers for at least 6 months...

Nederland COW 8th A beat Little Cypress 21-12.  It was a great game with alot of hard hits--both teams are really good.  LC was winning 6-0 at the half...  LC 8th B won at the very end.  think the score was 12-8.

Just hope for another fun game like last year!  IF yall remember, Vidor gaining momentum late in the 4th, then the QB sack, and the mysterious flag... then, well whatever that strange play was at the end of the game that Ned got the break on???  Anyways, it was fun and exciting!  It's what high school athletics is all about, win or lose! (oh yeah, and give it a break, smitty!  I would want my son to play for that DC anytime.) GO DOGS!

As a parent I know it's painful, but my son was a B teamer in middle school who eventually became a starter on varsity.  Without the B team game experience he would have probably quit, so it keeps the kids motivated to keep trying... Also, there may be some UIL rules that the coaches are up against.

Based on what I saw last year, I'd say my beloved Dogs are in for trouble... although #28 put a hit on the Soph that i bet he still feels today! WOS by 14.

He was on the team but did not get playing time...

Nederland has a very good catcher that did not play last year... threw out a very fast BC runner from his knees in the last scrimmage.

When was the last time the Dogs were 3-0 in district?  Ever?

This string is silly!  I wish they would play so Yates could feel how it is to lose by 135, although Coach Roc would not allow for that kind of humiliation!

Things do change, and it is the 21st century... it does not make the playoff "tournament" a joke because there are more teams in it.  The best team still won state in all classifications.  I attended several very, very good ballgames where the participants were not the district winner.
