Are you serious right now? The kid was giving thanks to the Lord and possible short prayer, reguardless of how long he holds onto the ball. That is downright rediculous for penalizing a player who celebrates a TD by thanking the Lord and pointing to the heavens because he held the ball too long?

Im gonna go small school with this one, being a graduate from Evadale last year.
2010: Evadale vs Colmesneil for dist. championship. both teams undefeated in district.
very intense, high profile game. the Rebels holds off RB Cody Berry 6 inches short of a 1st down on 4th & 6 I believe with 6 seconds left in the game to win 21-18. that was after Evadale marched down the field to retake the lead with less than 2 minutes left. I played in this game last year and it was crazy. after halftime a strange fog came onto the field and it wouldn't clear until we had the ball. But when Colmesneil got the ball, the fog came back, and it was thick too. Very emotional game too, being a Senior.
Then we got rewarded with Mart in the Area game of playoffs but thats for another day. :D ;D :D ;D -

Your son is a great athlete. too bad to hear about his injury, i know how he feels not being able to play.
him and the Cardinals gave us a great homecoming game last year and he was
my biggest test at that point, playin offense and defense. i hadn't went up against
anybody as quick or as fast as me so he made me work in that game. As an athlete
I give credit where credit is due and i give me alot. hope for a speedy recovery from
him so i can watch a good rematch with them and my Rebs.

as an ex player i stopped by an talked to the coaches after work today while they painted the field for monday. They all seem very excited bout the season coming up. Not to mention the upgraded stadium looks very nice, just waitin for next year to get some turf laid down. haha jk jk jk
I see the Rebs gettin another 10-0 season and 3 peat district championship, but in order to get there they're gonna have to put in the work that the team that started the championship run an our team last year that started the undefeated season did. But i got faith in my boys, its gonna be hard watchin an not playin with them like i did the past 4 years.

Evadale will have a very good team next year. Ill say them then Burkeville then High Island. As for the D-1 side, Lovelady will take it with West Sabine & maybe Hull. Sorry HD, just not all that great anymore but should still make the playoffs in the 3rd or 2nd seed. -
oh ok then. then idk who it is cuz we were supposed to play them last year but the hurrican messed up everything. we had to cancel our game with them.

did this Legacy kid play for Legacy at the beggining of the season? Because we played them for the first game & i didnt see anybody on their team that compete with you guys. unless it was that #3 that played mostly WR and he really wasnt a threat at all. we still beat them 55-0. JW who it is.

Im gonna go small school in this one: Colmesneil vs Evadale
both teams undefeated in district playin for the 23A championship.
had a nice setting too with the fog covering the whole field.
that one came down to inches as Colmesneil went for it on 4th down and missed the first by about 3 in. with 6 seconds left in the game. All Evadale had to do was kneel it out. Talk about classic game. As a player ill never forget that game, or the nightmare that came soon after with the beating we took from Mart 60-7. That game was not fun for me to play in. But we never gave up & gave it our all all the way to end. Cant ask for anymore than that. -
no problem. yall had a good team this year and gave us a good homecoming game. from one player to another he was a good test.

i played against your son this year. just wanted to say he's prolly the best WR/CB i went up against all season up until the playoffs. he's very quick and has good hands. he should have a good future in football.

Id watch out for that whole Rebel secondary. #12 leads the team in INT's and it takes a team to win not just one person. I give #24 his props, he's good, but it'll take the whole team to win this one. Thats been a good concept for them all year along with "HARD WORK & SWAGGER." ;) ;) ;) -

Yes, I think is Evadale is very overrated.. Yes they did win against Burkeville, but only because Burkeville had to make serious line adjustments that put them at a disadvantage. I not making excuses for Burkeville , just stating facts. For example, the starting senior quarterback had to play another position, while the freshman quarterback had to fill his spot. Those are big adjustments,offensively, that can cost you, especially in the type of weather they had to play in. I have another question, If Evadale is so great and not overrated, Why is it they lose in the first round of the playoffs? At least Burkeville, when winning has at least made it to round two or three every time.. That's because Burkeville was a very solid ball club, and NEVER OVERRATED!!! We had few shaky years, but be assured the Stangs, are back and on the rise.. Go Mustangs!!!

Wait, when's the last time Burkeville even thought about winning a district championship or going to the playoffs? I know the past few years Evadale has been 1 & done in playoffs but at least they're in the hunt for a district title & playoff spot. Im sure you can count the [b]wins[/b] Burkeville has had in the past 3 years on one hand. Burkeville's been a joke ever since Coach Harper left & they still are. If they are so good they would've beat us in the mud & rain like we beat them. Even if the conditions would've been perfect we still would've whipped yall. As for playoffs we'll see come November. Were gonna prove to everyone that we're done with the "1st Round Curse". Im not sayin were gonna take State but we have a good shot a winnin at least 2 maybe 3 games. Hope your ready for it, I dont see Burkeville beating Evadale in the next few years. District titles & playoffs spots for yall are just a thought now.
