  1. You got it footballfan88! Very proud of him and all the boys!
  2. I'll bet it's hard to jump up 30 inches while running a 4.6;) Those guys must be awesome!
  3. ABSOLUTELY! My son plays for the raiders! We will have a crew from BC cheering for the raiders also as my parents and inlaws still live in BC.
  4. I think it will be an offensive show with our defense making a few more plays than theirs on 3rd down. We will be very balanced with 25-30 passes and 30-35 rushes. They will have a 10-12 passes and 40-50 rushes.
  5. CardinalFan! I am from BC and agree the Raiders have been the whipping boys for many years, including last year. But, there's a new sheriff in town (lol) and this is a new team. You will be surprised by how the Raiders play regardless of the outcome. If the Cardinals win i will be the first to give you and the Cards credit. I pull for you guys every other week but not against the Raiders. I can't wait for kickoff. PirateFan! Is that Vidor Pirate fan? Boy! Now there's a powerhouse;) At least your coach is a great guy!
  6. Here's the article on BC and visor issue! [Hidden Content]
  7. I think the Raiders have too many weapons on offense. DeJohn, not Dishon, will have a big game throwing to Garza, Hussey, Wilkerson, Credeur, Ward, and others. Hussey and Hanna will both have good games at tailback. Cards gave up 254 yrds rushing and 67 passing to Liberty (enrollment 708) Raiders gave up 141 rushing and 71 passing to New Caney (enrollment 1837). I know NC is not a powerhouse by any means but probably has more talent than Liberty. Special teams, penalties, and turnovers could be the deciding factor but i don't think it will be that close. Raiders by 14
  8. We won't stop Dishon completely but will contain him for most of the game. He will probably have 100+ yards rushing but to beat us he will have to throw the ball. I predict our defense holds BC to 21 or less points and 200 or less yards total offense. The Raider offense will have 200+ rushing and 200+ passing. We will have a very balanced attack which BC will not stop. If we don't kill ourselves with turnover and penalties I predict the score to be Lumberton 35 BC 17 Raiders, go out and earn some R E S P E C T! 8) :!:
  9. We played a very good first half and held on for a squeaker win. Two turn-overs in the red zone and some untimely penalties really hurt. We also need to work on our conditioning. The heat caused several of our workhorses (garza, dejohn, hussey) to go down in the 4th. CONGRATULATIONS RAIDERS! A win is a win is a win. We'll take it and move on down to BC. Great job by Coach Credeur and his staff. Congratulations on your first of many varisty wins
  10. I think DeJohn from Lumberton is as good as anybody in the district and probably has the strongest arm. Based on '05 UIL stats, and not the ones in the chronicle or the enterprise because they were incorrect, he was second in the district last year in passing yards, first in attempts, first in completions, but unfortunately, first in interceptions as well - although 5 ints were end of half or game hail marys. He played about 60-65% of the snaps at QB last year so if he gets the chance he should improve on that this year. If he would have been the full-time QB last year i think he would have led the district in every category as a sophmore. Although he has only taken about half the snaps in the 3 scrimages (hampshire fannett, barbers hill, and silsbee), he has been impressive with a 65-70% completion rate, 500+ yards, 4 TD's and 0 ints. I think the dynamic duo of he and credeur will have more success than anybody on this board gives them credit for. Because of Coach C and his staff and a group of boys that refuse to accept losing, L-town is going to be a team that is much more fun to watch this year. I am hoping for a .500 season and praying for a playoff berth. I predict we start district play with a 3-0 record. Then things get tough with Dayton. Best of luck to all this year in district 22-4a!
  11. What do i mean by "led the district in receiving?" Hummmm!! Let me see! I meant that if you add up all the yards of his "CATCHES" than he had a higher total than anybody else in the district, including Royal and Butler!! ;~)
  12. Hussey led the district in receiving last year! JWard was new comer of the year in the district. What has Credeur done to deserve recognition other than being the son of the coach? The other quarterback has been much more impressive passing and led them to 3 TD's last week. Really now! If he wasn't the coaches son would he be the starting QB??? I think NOT!
