One big question in my mind is why did WOS hold the ball from 1:25 on with the score tied and then drive the lane and try a heavily contested layup with about 17 seconds left instead of waiting till just a long enough to get the shot off and maybe a put back attempt.

Well said ST413!  There is NO student section any more.  The Hawk Hecklers used to be the best around and inspired many other student sections.  Now they are non existent.  Sadly enough, besides the Silsbee game, this is the largest crowd HJ has had all year.  It has been very disappointing.  Our young men deserve better support than they are getting.  I don't know what it is but, it is a shame when 2K + will show up for one game and you can't hardly get 200 to show up for any other home game.  It is very sad.  I understand expectations are high and so people only want to come to particular games but I say "if you're a TRUE fan then be a true fan and show up to all of them"  Our players deserve better!

Well, then, Freeze, that is good news because they beat an athletic team (the kind you say they cant beat ) with their leading scorer being ill and their other leading scorer missing the last two minutes by fouling out and, in general, they played sloppy.  And one more thing, cross country made a difference in the last couple of minutes last night.

We will find out on Feb 8.  You obviously missed my point.  You can take a positive from a win when play was so sloppy against an athletic team.
