Koda Martin. Ranked #9 TE nationally in c/o 2014 by scout. Around 6'6" / 6'7" 245lbs. Also plays DE.

He had a Watt-swat on one of Fisk's passes in the PAM/Manvel game while playing DE. Also left one of the PAM DBs in a pile after catching a pass and heading downfield as a TE.

Currently has offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UCLA.

Daniel Brinson (Deweyville) should be a contender for this spot. Not sure on height/weight, but he got district MVP.

Yes Washington may not be the starting TE, but that's because he is a starter on the D line. He is however a load at TE. Very physical blocker and can catch an carry people for xtra yardage. I thought he was the difference in MCM his Soph. Year. Wherever they lined him up they ran behind him and had great success, plus he kept us honest by catching a couple passes, maybe one for a TD?? or big 1st down can't remember for sure.

Yes he is a very effective Tight End. We only use him now as like a 6th lineman. But like you said, he can catch passes. Just Contreras and Stewart are better Tight Ends that can be used in more ways.

Shepherd and Coldspring both have pretty good tight ends. the kid from Coldspring is tall and long and gets alot of jump balls. the kid from Shepherd is a real big kid at 6-5/6-6 245lbs with good athleticism. Got Shepherd out of alot of jams and is a load to bring down.

Kid from Coldspring got 1st team TE and was hard for Safeties to hold down the middle. 6'5" 195 looks pretty fast after the catch. He was one of Coldspring's main receivers when Coldspring threw their three passes per game. LaMarque had 3-4 defensive players guarding him down the middle everytime he went out. Didn't see Shepherds TE, I think he was hurt when Coldspring played them.

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. Texas does not have party registration, but a voter’s primary voting history is public. The Covey campaign has not released its methodology behind its claim, but  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  by The Texan news website found that 9% of Republican voters in the March District 21 primary had voted in one of the previous four Democratic primaries. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, said on Mark Davis’ radio program Wednesday. “I did not speak to a single Democrat down here in HD21. Not a single one." "
