1.
Daniel Brinson (Deweyville) should be a contender for this spot. Not sure on height/weight, but he got district MVP.
He is 6'1" 260. He got district MVP for 12-2A. Averaged around 30 yards per catch this year!!!
2. All the negative comments on this board have come from other schools; every post from a Deweyville player, parent or supporter has been respectful and humble...and WE don't have discipline??? On that note, under Coach Babin and his staff, and with our entire community there to cheer the boys on, I know this will be an exciting game. Deweyville and San Augustine are both tough, physical teams and I think it will be a defensive battle. Deweyville has a big, athletic, experienced line and we have speed as well, so this will be a fight til the end. I'm picking the pirates...praying for a injury free game and a safe trip here to all you SA fans.
3. i think i smell a district championship for the pirates  :D :D :D

5.
at deweyville we still pray before every game. actually betweeen 2-3 times before each game.
yes, you as players do, and i am so glad that is still done! but they are referring to before the game when the announcer welcomes everyone.
6. BIG AMEN from Deweyville!! Good luck tonight everyone :D
7. Deweyville JV wins 2-0. Evadale Varsity wins 3-1. Hard fought game between both teams. Evadale did prevail, but Deweyville has nothing to hang their heads about...Evadale is as good as the toughest team in Dville's district this year so I feel some major success coming their way!! Good luck Rebs the rest of the season
8. Good luck Warren...i hope you have a great season!!
9. Congrats New Waverly!! Excited to see y'all later this season...best of luck to the team!!
10. West Hardin is always a solid football team, so I will go with them. Do not underestimate Sabine Pass though..we just played them Friday night & they could be a decent team if they start connecting with their receivers. The QB has an arm! The team never quits either; they played their hearts out until the game ended. Good luck to both teams!
11. Congrats Lady Pirates! A lot of young talent on this team...could create some major upsets!!
12. Rivalry game dating back to the 70's. No matter how weak or strong either team is, both the Pirates and the Rebels always play each other harder than they play anyone else. I'm taking the Pirates. New coach, new team, new attitude.
13. Twine is a strong leader on offense, and will wear down West Sabine. I'm picking the Hornets in a close one.
14. After watching Kirbyville scrimmage, I think Buna will be too much for them to handle. It won't be a blow out, but the Cougars will take this one.

16. Marley still has a chance to be able to play. She is going to Austin Monday. And im pretty sure her parents and marley herself knew the consequences before she even moved. But it was something their family had to do. All this talk only hurts the kid and i dont know about you but i dont wanna see a good athlete not play their senior year.
17. Nevermind, just saw they lost. I am curious now too..
18. They won't be released until all teams in this district lose in playoffs. As far as I know, Hardin is still in.
19. Trueblue what you trying to say? Last time I checked basketball was a team sport and nobody takes points away fom anyone. A win is a win. Its all done by team work. And arnt you from evadale???
20. Deweyville beat East Chambers Sept. 9th and just defeated Anahuac Oct 11. Just filling in the missing gaps, I know our district is a tight race
