you didn't see either game.... 2 of sc's td's came off of bh miscues where sc got the ball at the 8 and about the 15. That's part of the game, but 24-11 doesn't tell the whole story,. Nor is it usually called a "throttling ".

So if sc pulls the upset, does that put them in a better playoff position playing vidor next?
The winner of this game is in a much better part of the bracket to get to the quarterfinals.  #1 state ranked Dawson is on the other side of the bracket.

Dawson is waaaaaay over rated this year. Still a good team, but nowhere near what they've had in the past.

Hey Stepuponthebeatmouth, now I can't remember who you were before you changed your name! I haven't seen "dazed" on here since the infamous beatmouth post. Lol!

A field goal by Carranco to win the game.

That would be exciting, to say the least.

Welcome Moss Hill. Love the signature.

If anybody is an underdog in this game it's the Broncos. High School rankings/picks are never very accurate so if any "media" is picking Dayton (which I have not seen by the way) they're guessing. I would value the SETX population for local football knowledge over the Chronicle or Enterprise any day of the week.

I predicted the BH game to be close and it was. A little too close for comfort. This week will be another close game. I'm already on record for saying it will take the Broncos best game of the year to beat SC. Let's hope the Dayton coaches have a plan....and a plan "B" this time.

Sure would like to meet up with the Pirates in the 2nd round. They have much better trash talkers than Nederland. ;D

SC ran SIMPLE plays all night....and our QB missed 2 TDs on just those simple plays....BH scored on 2nd string Defense

BH also dropped (see missed above) a crucial EASY first down reception when they were driving on SC...

The point is, you guys were gonna bust 50 on them.... simple plays or not, your level of execution kept you under 30 with lots of help from BH ;)

Nobody from SC said we would win by 50, go back and look...it prob was someone else....SC had a few drops too, one caused us to punt....you worry about how Dayton couldn't score on BH, only on a busted play, and special teams ;)

I would personally like to see our tall lanky playmaker QB at another position.  Put Keener behind center and go with it.  I think Chambers would benefit the team better not behind the center.  This should have been done earlier in the year IMO.  I think the coaches are still struggling on who to put back there and this is why Dayton's offense is night and day on Friday nights.  Sling the ball down field instead of lateral plays.
May, why don't they use your pics on the Toups predictions? I waited until they changed it from the Crosby pic to complain so y'all wouldn't think that's the reason why, but you can hardly see any detail in the pictures.

Yall quit worring about BH  ;D and whoever said BH scored on SC second team ...PLEASE>>>>>>>>>If the SC coach had the second team in that would be a very dumb move.  anywho.... I 'm sticking to my prediction that Dayton will win this game by 7. SC is tough, but Dayton will not give you points like BH did and will bring  just as good as a run Defense as BH did. Daytons secondary should be able to cover the pass better and the game is in Dayton (Can you say Home Cooking).

Dayton 21
SC 14

Dog pound nation said you were gonna break scoreboards and then later said 50.... I don't need to go back and look. I remember.

You worry about how SC had only 1 sustained drive for a touchdown against BH. 8)

This game will have a playoff atmosphere.  Dayton has been there (lord knows we all know that) but can SC handle the big game atmosphere?  I'm still not a believer in Dayton's Offensive system and I know defense wins big games but I'm giving a slight edge to SC....then again home field erases that so.....crap I don't know.

    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
    • See why I don't trust my Hogs?
    • Come on dude, don’t take anything away from the kids on the field. If you want to talk uncharacteristic, we made what 3 or 4 errors in game one. Y’all had 2 EARNED runs.  Defense is normally our strong suit. Your ace didn’t strike out a single one of our kids. Like I said also, you did not out hit us in game 1. Hell you barley out hit us in game 2. We had all the uncharacteristic walks. Josh pitched a hell of a game is what made that game what it was.
