Well Kountze will soon find out that the other teams in this district (even though they aren't Newton) are much better quality teams than they played in the pre-season.  I am glad they are having a good season, but media hype doesn't win football games.  They better strap up their helmets and make sure they have their pads in the right places because it will take more than smack talk and previous wins to beat most of the teams in this district.  I think Kountze will be looking forward to basketball season before too long. JMO

You mean the same "speed" y'all had last year when we beat you 28-0? Or how bout when we beat you the year before? lol Kountze is much improved. And they have a good chance to beat Woodville. But, due to recent history, Woodville has the edge. But my knowledge of the game and experience in the game is so very miniscule that I can't possibly recognize the overwhelming talent that seems to have just popped up out of nowhere in Kountze, TX. lol Kountze is much improved, but success takes time. Not just one calender year and 4 wins over mediocre opponents. Like I said, they have a good chance to beat Woodville. But Woodville is better than all four teams they've played this year when they're firing on all cylinders. Im not "hating" on anybody. Im just not gonna hop on the Kountze bandwagon until they beat a quality opponent.

LOL Hate!!! Kountze was good also when I was in school when they had Paul Mayo, Fred Wright, etc. They were undefeated or something like that, then what happened. They played us, the Woodville Eagles and got brought back to reality!! I think we ended up beating them l like 49-7. I know this is a different Woodville team than when I played, but Come on man!!! One year and your are now the greatest show on earth? Why do I have to hate on Kountze? So now Kountze can beat us running also? I don't recall Kountze going to state in track over the past few years. I promise you this, you will see better athletes you have faced all year on Woodville for sure. This is not baskeball speed. Man will you wake up and smell the smelling salt. You played Hull D etc and your are now awesome!!! If you were so good why did you pad your schedule!!! Special going on Friday after the game at  Moma Jacks, a buffet of crow!!!  And yes we have a history of beating you guys!!! Tell me the last time you beat Woodville? Also high jumping doesn't mean you will beat us in the 100 yard dash to the endzone!! LOL Im sorry to tell you but your first loss coming Friday IF Ville don't shoot themselves in the foot and it might get ugly!!

Yes it has!!! Talent grew in a field in one year!!! They prob wont win another game unless Warren!!! Kountze finishes 5-5 or 6-5 depending on how many turnovers ville commits themselves  and is coached Friday. With no turnovers its gonna be ugly.

SFAjack I can tell your not very confident in Woodville by how offended you are getting. And im sick of y'all dogging Kountze's schedule. We played Shepherd(who woodville also played and beat by the same margin as ktz), Hull (weak opponent, ill give you that one), Trinity (a decent 2a school, will probably make playoffs), and Hardin who is in our district and we have to play them. If Kountze doesn't make the mistakes that they did against Hardin,  they will beat Woodville. IMO

It does not matter what is said because Kountze is awful and Woodville is next level, "AS LONG AS THEY DON"T SHOOT THEMSELVES IN THE FOOT". By the way that is the pre-game excuse for when Woodville takes a loss Friday night. If Woodvile beats Kountze than they just outplayed Kountze...Just have the same attitude when it goes the oppisite direction Friday night.

I don't have a dog (or Lion, or Eagle) in this hunt, but I still say WV has the edge. Small edge, but an edge none the less. Two factors. One, WV made the playoffs last year. "Last year" does not put you in "this year", but it does illustrates a winning program. Two, WV just faced EC, while Kountze just beat Hardin. Playing EC probably strengthened WV, while playing Hardin may not have benefited Kountze very much. Thats just how the schedule worked out. I look for a close game with WV pulling it out. A Kountze win would not surprise me at all, though. Good luck to both and may the best team win.  8)

No one said woodville is the most dominant. I dont think anyone heard that come out of my mouth. So you think since you are undefeated that makes your team better because ville is 1-3. Like I said when you pad your schedule you should be undefeated. Like my example, Warren came back to reality last Friday and it might not be this week, but in the following weeks you will also!!! New Waverly would beat any opponent y'all have played to date. And EC will beat Kountze. The worst team Wville has played is Shepherd. We were in positions to beat CC and New Waverly. Both of which would beat any team Kountze has played so far.

New waverly barely be Lovelady.. and hull Daisetta barely lost to lovelady..

Kountze has fast athletic players all over their team. If their Coach finds a way to get all his speed on the field, Kountze is deadly. If Kountze starts and plays that QB that runs like Michael Vick all night, it gonna be a bad night for Woodville. Also if the Kountze running game gets going, it's gonna be nasty. Lions have like 4-5 RB's that are fast and strong. I believe #20 was the most physical and hard to tackle when HD played Kountze, kid is a beast. Kountze has the potential and skilled players to contend for a District title. We shall see. Most everyone is picking Woodville because of the past victories over Kountze. If Woodville goes in thinking they are playing the old Lions, this will be a blowout.

I don't see Kountze contending for the district title in this district. Just because they beat HD it don't make them giant killers. They have yet to play anyone nearly as strong as EC or Newton. Kountze may have some kids that can run, but they will need them and more in this district to contend for title.
