I saw La Porte play twice this season, they are not that good.

This is a bad couple of losses for West Brook to these guys to end the season.

Ture Simon may not be the best coach but you need horses to run a horse races with, and West Brook players are nowhere near North Shore , or the Laport players, Laportt beat them in football and basketball and most likely track too, i dont know why you guys think you can win with no talent, oh thats right you win in aau and summer leagues

False. Westbrook HAS had talent for YEARS.  Largest HS in BEAUMONT.  Talent is definitely not an excuse.  FOUR TEAMS make the playoffs and Westbrook does not get in....SOMETHING is not right with that picture.

West Brook talent is ok but its not good or deep for 5a if they were 4a , 3a then game plans and x and o's would work with some of what they have but Brook has not had an inside man in years or a good one on one guy to go to,hey i wish all the kids  and schools from orn - pt arthur would win but West Brook don't even have a 200 pound guy on that team and no defenses guys , they  are playing 5a basketball college is next and i do think there is not one West Brook player playing college ball. I guess that might be coach problem because the last 5-7 , 6' 8" guys that played at Brook or not in college.

Fact: Since 1998, Westbrook has had MORE Division I basketball players than Ozen and Central....Since 1998 Westbrook has had ZERO regional tournament appearances, ZERO district championships, and FIVE playoff appearances...Since 1998... ::)...There is SOMETHING wrong....

There is a reason for that too.  Even at THAT, kids STILL go to Westbrook...They were in the regionals in 95, 96, and 97....Then it all just......stopped.  The kids have BEEN there...

in 2000, WB started a 6'9, a 6'8 and boasted two of the best guards in the area...missed the playoffs.... ::)....They have had some big and talented teams too...nope, thats not it... ::)

      I liked his no bull crap attitude. He was a man of very few words. Extremely strong and freaky athletic!!! As close as possible to being the best offensive lineman to ever play the game. I hope his family finds peace without him!!! RIP #73

      Chester, a small town in NE Tyler County.  A town that is seeing growth with the addition of a national chain store and a new school being built.  If you travel 287 toward Dallas from the Golden Triangle you have probably passed through Chester.  Things tend to stay pretty consistent and it is your typical small town.   A trip to state is the buzz around town, and the talk before church services begin on Sunday.  This year’s graduating class will number 11.  We don’t have a radio station that covers the Yellowjackets.  We are never a lead story on any of the news stations that broadcast to our community. With all that said, there is a closeness and sense of pride in our community.  Every community rallies behind their kids as they progress into the playoffs.  We are proud of our boys as they have represented our community well and with class.
