Lot's of scrimmages to talk about from yesterday and today.  How'd your team and opponent look?

Anybody have any word about the Kelly/LCM Scrimmage.

Lack of offense in the Brenham/Bryan scrimmage.  When I left after the 4th inning it was 1-0, Bryan.  Brenham's 2 hits were both doubles, while Bryan had a pair of singles and a double.  Both teams looked rusty, but I guess that should have been expected.

WEST BROOK AND PNG PLAYED 12 INNINGS AND THE PITCHING IS WAY AHEAD OF THE HITTING AT THIS POINT. A FEW BOBBLES FROM EACH DEFENSE BUT ALL IN ALL A GOOD NIGHT WORK FOR BOTH. ALOT OF NEW FACES FOR BOTH TEAMS.

Dont have a final score, but I heard late last night LCM won. Heard they were solid on the mound. Dont have a final score though.

Tarkington @ HF, score was 6-3 in game like scrimmage.  Tarkington had one home run and Smelley was 2-4.  HF had Miguez 2-4, 2rbi and Jannise 1-4 1rbi and a solid 2 innings to start on the mound.  Overall both teams looked decent for opening scrimmage.

Gotcha.

LCM did not win the scrimmage against Kelly.....

....but they did outscore them 14-5.  The Bear pitching staff did hold the bulldogs to three hits in 12 innings.  Kelly has a couple of pitchers that will help win quite a few games this year.

Good luck to the bulldogs.  They seem to have some really good kids on their team.

Does anyone know how the Kelly scrimmage vs Lumberton went Saturday?

Whats up at HJ. Dayton scrimmage cancelled because not enough players. Still in basketball?  Dayton played nice looking 10 inning scrimmage against Kingwood park on Wed. 6-4  Lots of good looking players on both. Pitching looked good. Rusty with bats but to be expected.
