Looking at Vidor's statistics and how they've fared throughout the year, they seem to be getting stronger (which coincides with how they play four quarters).  They had six rushing touchdowns in each of their playoff games this season and that's more than they've had all year.  Angleton's defense better be conditioned well or they'll be in deep.  Vidor pounds...and pounds...and pounds...and pounds...well, you get the idea.  They tire out defenses as the game progresses because they aren't a "big play" team and in turn, it keeps their own defense off the field, ready, and far from tired.  Being a past player under Matthews, I can guarantee conditioning won't be an issue with these Pirates.  Keep doing what you do and you'll be fine.

[/quote] Apparently, Wheatley isn't very good at all. They cant seem to tackle in the open field or cover the pass. As far as that int, nothing special about it, ball was pretty much thrown right to him.

From what I see, you guys are pretty explosive.  Although, Wheatley had some of the worst tackling form I've seen in a playoff team in a while.

It looks like you guys' main weakness I saw (from the 1:00 video) is pass blocking.

They better shape up with that or there will be a lot of head scratching.

[color=purple]The line has been rather solid this year but to their defense. Wheatley had a a couple solid lineman who were big an athletic. But the line was the biggest question coming into this season and they have did a great job so far. [/color]

As far as Wheatley is concerned... I agree that they are not good at all. (with the exception of #4 thier QB, who also played the entire game on defense and got those pick 6s off our freshman QB late in the game.) That's why the Cats were able to get away with first string players playing only for a limited amount of time here and there after the middle of the second qtr. and still win by 29 points.

Just stating facts, the 1st pick was when they were inside the 5, and the 2nd was when they were  inside the 20. Trust me I am happy. Just hope that the ghost from Thanksgiving past don't show up on friday night for Angleton. '08 35-34 loss to central. '09 36-34 loss to Brenham.
