I had the pleasure of sitting next to Juan's dad last night at the game and he was a very proud pappa to say the least. He couldn't stop smiling at the show his son put on last night and if you missed it, it was something special. This kid is the real deal and has a very bright future ahead of him.

Great kid, student, kicker who's brothers were 2 time all-dist kickers @Dayton.Juan's leg is getting stronger as he has grown & muscled up alot since last yr.Pretty good punter to when they don't ask him to do the rugby style.I know it gives the team time to get downfield though. To my memory he's only kicked a cpl of onside kicks that were beauties but we didn't get the ball before it went OB.If we keep winning he needs 7 pats to be # 3 all time pats leader w/a yr left 8) 8)

Hello posters;Back checking the HS game summaries 2009-current for a few hours and doing some adding I've found other milestones Juan Carranco has met, here they are:Consecutive Pat's=60/60 in 2009 +24/24 in 2010=84 in a row which ties #5 Kyle Matthews,Copperas Cove 2004-06 w/84.Juan missed his 1st Pat vs GCM in game #6 of the 2010 season ***2011 Juan has made 18 fgs and the season record is 20 by Hunter Lawrence for fgs in a season.4 kids tied for 2nd with 19  ***Fgs Career leader has 48-#6 kid has 36  *Juan has 36 *9 in 09 *9 in 2010  *18 and counting this year.Best of Luck Juan Carranco w/the remaider of this yr.and next yr. ;) 8)

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. Texas does not have party registration, but a voter’s primary voting history is public. The Covey campaign has not released its methodology behind its claim, but  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  by The Texan news website found that 9% of Republican voters in the March District 21 primary had voted in one of the previous four Democratic primaries. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep.
