Kelly has won 5  ;D
I saw only the 1998 one, what years were the others.
this was taken from the Kelly website not sure the years

"Kelly's extraordinary athletic record continued when the football team won the

state championship in 1970. The "Dawgs" won three 3-A TCIL state

championships and two 4-A TCIL championships. In 1990, Kelly won state

championships in football, soccer, golf, boys' basketball, and boys' and girls'

tennis, as well as volleyball and girls' track."

According to TCIL, Kelly won 2 titles, '92 and '93. Those titles were won with just 4 teams in the whole classification! 4 TEAMS!!!

Vidor. We've won more state titles in band than anyone. (you didn't say football, you need to clarify next time)
Being that it is posted in the football forum and not the band forum, gives it it's clarity. ;)

Well since Kelly is St Anthony just with a name change i guess you could say Kelly has 4  8)
Well, if you play that game.  West Brook moves up to 4 as Hebert was merged with Forest Park to create West Brook.

Memorial now has 4 state championships as Lincoln and Port Arthur Jefferson (which was formerly Port Arthur High) merged to form Port Arthur Memorial.

West Orange-Stark just doubled their number of state championships to 4 as Wallace High School was absorbed into Stark High School which was merged with West Orange High School to create West Orange-Stark.

kelly didnt merge or anything they just changed the name to honor Monsignor Kelly when he died.
From the same website history that you used above:

"In 1961, strains of "Good-bye Old High" could be heard as St. Anthony High School closed. A new campus opened under the administration of the Vincentian priests. To differentiate the new central campus from St. Anthony School, the new name of Central Catholic High School was selected.  Father Leonard was named principal. In 1964 the name was changed to honor Monsignor E. A. Kelly."

Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history.
