TexasMinuteMan - Barbers Hill by a slight margin
TMM - is 20 for 20 in his predictions this year.

I have Dayton by 20 points, this week. I have made 10 predictions, and my record stands at 10-0.

So, I am calling you out Texas Minute Man..............make a wager ??? I will even keep it simple, no point spread. Just straight up, WIN or LOSE prediction. You got BH, I got the Broncos......

Anyone heard how Chambers is doing? Hope he's able to play Friday. They have got to find a way to get that kid some more touches. He can be very elusive!

So I'm guessing with your uncle reffing we won't have to endure the Gage temper tantrum again?  Another onside kick to start the game?  Show up for the National Anthem this time though.
I talked to coach Gage the next morning. He said the refs did not come to get them which they are supposed to do to let them know it was time to come out onto the field. Yes he should have looked at a watch or something but it wasn't intentional. Can we please move on.
Excuses-------------it was classless plain and simple
It was not classless unless he did it intentionally, which he did not. I guess you just don't get it.
No I do get it---you were misled---BOTH locker rooms were notified by the officials and only one intentionally did not come out---the same kind of silly tactics like flipping a tire, making players wear purple shirts, and flapping your gums about a "gimmick defense"----all of which backfired
I guess I believe Coach Gage, who I know is an honest and honorable person, over you.
I guess my standards for honest and honorable must be higher.  The timing for everything in football from practice to the games is planned down to the minute.  So you're telling me that a grown man who plans the teams' lives down to the minute did not have a watch in order to tell what time it was to come out for the game.  I can understand gamesmanship and that's fine, but there are certain things you do not do as a leader and the example for young men to follow...
As I stated earlier, YES HE SHOULD HAVE LOOKED AT A WATCH. I didn't say he was completely blameless, I said it wasn't intentional, certainly NOT GAMESMANSHIP! Get over it, your team won the game.

Not taking cheap shots at kids! These kids have since graduated and are men now 8) The comment was made about the coaches teaching by example at BH. Well I'm just saying our football players are not turning into Criminals or lack the eductaion to pass a college course! Our coaches and staff and community at BH do lead by example which would explain why we compete in everything that the UIL can offer and then some. Don't care if you like Gage, BH or not just stating the facts 8)

Bh fan likes to talk about everything other than football on a football forum go figure. He always says daytons poor our kids are uneducated we all live in trailors. I can see one major problem with his statements none of that matters when you step out on the field. It doesnt matter how much money you have or were you live. The bronx are fixing to give your kids a life lesson, money cant buy you everything and when the eagles step out on that field friday and take the whoopin we all know is coming maybe daddy can buy them a new car because they will not ever have a district championship.

I took the broncos minus ten with my carpool buddy from the hill.  I don't think he is going to like wearing a purple shirt into Thriftees to buy me a steak on Monday.  He will enjoy drinking only purple kool aid while we are at work on Monday even less.  Gotta love it!
Dude, the Whataburger cheeseburger I owe you from last year's OR Shootout is a little green with mold but it belongs to you. You want to go double or nothing?

You are right.  Price did a great job of mentoring those kids over there, but that was not good enough for you all.  Winning, putting kids in school, having a complete athletic program.  Man, it is hard to work for the Hill when you do a great job with what you are given... Gage has proved nothing yet at the Hill.  He has graduated one class and that class was raised by Coach Price.  The jury is still out on Gage and his impact on Barbers Hill.

Oh lord one of Prices menions ;D I tell you from my experiance with both men Gage has the nod from me 8) Price did a good job as well teaching an mentoring these kids you can't take that away from him, but Gage is much more personable IMHO. The talks that Gage has done for the kids that are coming up in the BH program to motivate them to being a better player far out weights anything I had seen when Price was here. The jury may still be out, but Gage seems to be a great asset for BH.

    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
    • See why I don't trust my Hogs?
    • Come on dude, don’t take anything away from the kids on the field. If you want to talk uncharacteristic, we made what 3 or 4 errors in game one. Y’all had 2 EARNED runs.  Defense is normally our strong suit. Your ace didn’t strike out a single one of our kids. Like I said also, you did not out hit us in game 1. Hell you barley out hit us in game 2. We had all the uncharacteristic walks. Josh pitched a hell of a game is what made that game what it was.
