Yea C.O. won with real class! They were up 35-18 with less than 30 sec left in the game, on their own 20yd line and threw pass down the sideline for a TD. Boy that's a way to show our kids how to act!

IF the pass would have been intercepted and returned for a touchdown convert the 2pt PAT and you have the makings of a wild finish.

If CO.Wilson would have ran a straight dive play up the middle and broke it for 80 yards and scored would the loss been any different?

At this age I would think I would rather have a team trying to pass if my team is 17 points down.
1. it stops the clock on incompletes
2. completion avg has to be low at this age.
3. gives my team a better chance of a turnover.

Not defending any coach or team just giving my opinion on what I would want if I was behind and still was trying to win.

Giving up?  It really looked like showing off to me...doing a flip in the endzone (especially at their age) isn't the way to act.  But that's only my opinion  :)

If C.O. Wilson winning 43 to 18 against groves shows no class, then what are your feelings on Port Neches beating the other Nederland team (Central) 41 to 6 ???

I'm from Nederland and my kids  went to C.O. ! I have to admit C.O.'s coach is a jerk . He constantly screamed at the kids . We could be up by 40 points and he would be going for 2 and kicking onside kicks then start calling timeouts so he would have time to score some more . Yeah , We won all the time but It wasnt the classiest .  I found myself apoligizing to the other fans on the way to the parking lot . I 'm glad my son is in high school now and away from that dude

It wasn't the score that made it unclassy, it was the way it was done! All I was saying was that it was obvious they ran up the score. Your up by 3 scores, the Defense doesn't have any timeouts, and you take a knee to end it. That's class! Their kids were wanting to run it out, but their coach was yelling " Run the Play!". I was told PN was up 30 something to 0 at halftime, so I'm sure their other score was by their second team.

Wanna talk about a "jerk" coach try GMS coach, does not show up until almost halftime and then runs basically the same kids all game till they are gassed, some kids have not even set foot on the field all season, and before anyone says im a frustrated father my son gets to play, i just dont see it as right that a whole lot of kids that are there at 6:30 am to practice and then never play.

The Head Coach brings the 8th grade team to the games. Also, in his defense, i know it's hard to get everyone in with 50+ kids, but i know he does make an attempt. I went to school with him and he is a great guy. Have a private discussion with him if there are issues, he is very easy to talk to. Go Braves!

It doesn't matter what coach or team or even school if you're up by three or more scores you shouldn't be throwing the ball, running reveres or trick plays in the fourth quarter. It's called class and sportsmanship

Sorry zone lock didn't mean to send this to you was trying to post it

The coaches may be considered tough, but look at the teams/wins they produce.  My advise is if you can't tolerate a tough loud hollering coach, football may not be for you, especially at C.O. Wilson.! We love our coaches, especially every Tues night when we go home with a W.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
