he was offered lancaster, negotiated but lancaster couldn't do much salary wise and hired chris gilbet from terrell today... i don't know if jordan has other offers and a 2-year deal for a hs school coach IS a long-term contract

The author stating that Lancaster is possilbe another LaMarque is ludicrous on it's face.  I don't think LC has ever won Region 2 let alone 5 rings, numerous district and regional titles.....

But They have won a boat load of medals at the state track meet, and in texas Speed wins football games. It's hard to imagine a program in texas with more spped than Lancaster.

Speed without discipline does not win.  SLC was never the fastest team.  Carthage wasn't the fastest team in 3A. Katy, etc., etc.

I know that there are many factors that go into winning. But the bottom line is if you've ever seen lancaster at a track meet than you've seen some of the best athletes around. And maybe the right Coach, Principal, Sup combo can get that thing rolling.. It's not like thy've never been good.
