I am so glad they found a way to honor Reggie Garrett with the Captain Award.  Way to go, 21 3A coaches!
[/quote]

I agree, I like that award.

Its very hard for a WOS kicker to make first team. I believe I only made it once out of three. What happens is that we at WOS dont kick many fieldgoals. No one to blame, or at fault, just proven. So with that said, thats why it happens. Not taking anything away from the BC kid, but Crew went from nothing to a very good kicker in a very short time. If he would have had more chances to kick fieldgoals, it could have been the other way around. I do know that these picks donot define any type of scholarship opportunities.

according to the stats the bc kicker didnt attempt a fg during district. i was told this was a very hard decision between the two but it came down to the bc kicker being better "all around" due to also performing kickoffs and punts. crew was ahead in xp's, fg's, and percentage.

Congrats to those selected though I believe the excessive number of selections waters down the recognition.  Unfortunately, it happens in every sport.  I sense the closed door selection process goes something like this..."I'll select your kid if you select mine."

The Reggie Garrett selection is awesome!

After looking at the all-district list, I only have one question and it's for our resident WOS "guru" Kerry Cooper.

How can WOS be returning 90% of their team (this is what you have previously stated) when 14 different WOS seniors made the all district team? That's 14 of their 22 starters, which is 63% of their starting lineup and is 41% of the entire team. Add the other 4 seniors to the list (looking at a WOS roster right now) and that has WOS losing 52% of their entire team, returning only 48%.

Kerry, how did you come up with the 90% number?

(again, this is only directed at Kerry, as I have seen no other WOS fan make these ridiculous comments)

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep.
