I didn't buy his reasoning on running up the score last week. Even though I was there and saw several of those cheapshots, I found it disingenuous to use that as a reason to run it up. Coach Shipley has always ran the score up when he's had the chance to. He didn't get to run it up much at Coppell because he found out that playing against teams every week that had as good or better athletes than he had meant it wasn't going to happen. I'd have a bit of respect for him if he'd just come out and say he likes to run it up. I'd at least respect his honesty.

So the fact that the opposing coach admitted to 12 late hits including several on the coaches son by his team means nothing? How about Coach Shipley warning the opposing coach at the half to get it under control or he would not let off. If the opposing coach could not control his players than they got what they deserved.

Using teenage boys as pawns to settle a dispute between two grown men is pretty sad. Both head coaches in that game looked foolish. It appears that doing such things is okay though in some circles.

[/quote]My brother lived in Eastland for awhile and his wife has kin folks who live in Brownwood,Cisco,and Eastland. Love watching some west Texas football when we go visit.
