Go-Rilla, I agree with your picks except for one, the kid you have at number 3, I have done some research of my own, the QB from Tarkington has thrown more INT's than TD's, the reason he leads the district in passing is because no one else throws. I have come to the conclusion, the QB at Tarkington is either your son, brother, nephew, or some other relative of yours. Or maybe you coach him.......I wonder?

I don't think I said 22 was going to beat up on 21. If I were betting, I would say quite the opposite. All I said was how rediculous your comment was to move teams around so the districts would be competitive. That is a ludicrous statement and I think 90% of the folks on here would agree with me. You cant align districts because of the ability of a football team!!!!! You said "Its sad". Why? Its simple logistics and the UIL trying to be as fiscally responsible as possible. As a taxpayer, I applaud that. Besides, other than WOS in 21 3A, How can you predict how good a team will be from year to year. You can't!!

So, because a team is not running the ball every play you are holding it against the kid because he throws the ball. He is a good ball player.

You are right, he has had some interceptions. He has HAD more dropped touchdowns than interceptions thrown which would have his TD number at 18. I have seen 5 dropped in the endzone against the first two district games.

He will be even better next year as a senior.

hitch,

don't get your pannies in a bunch, I am just giving Go-Rilla a hard time, I know the kid is pretty good, I have kept up with him for the last 3 years, he will probably be the 1st team all-district QB. did not mean to get people upset just messing with Go-Rilla

9 tds 9 ints. his stats. #22 tossed the only int for them against coldsprings. No other QB has that many tds. He has thrown for twice the yards as any other QB in the district. He has a helmet sticker on this site for tossing 375 in one game. And he would start at QB or Lb on any team in this 22-3A or 21-3A. This district has zero 1000 yard rushers and zero 1000 yard passers besides him, and he's not in the top 5 come on.

I'm bettin' he says #35, just a hunch. Better strap it up tight #35, those prairie folk are not scared to put the ball in the air!! You never know what you will get from Brooks and Co. He might throw for 400 yards or he might throw 5 picks. (Heck, he might do both!) Better watch out for #18 (Big Back) as well. He can flat out run over you if he wants to.

haha well i would have to say they all are pretty good players. Every player has an impact on a team i dont think there is just one main player who makes the team..Its 11 men on the field at once you cant do it by yourself..its a TEAM effort!! and yeah i do no alot about liberty! i also know there is No I and team and any team can get beat at any given day!! what do you think gorilla...and Lukethadrifter

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
