Kendall Thamm, LP from Barbers Hill, gives early verbal commitment to 100% offer from Angelina College. Ross Hales, LP from Barbers Hill, early verbal to Texas A & M.

I say A&M makes him a great offer to sit next to Ross......  If nothing else at least I would get to see you swap that burned orange shirt for a maroon one..... ;D ;D

None of the Vidor grads from last year have made any commitments to any colleges for baseball, but most of them will be attending Lamar next year to further their education.

Yes, V.J. Bunner has signed with Lamar.  Robichau & Fontnow are looking and talking to recruiters as we speak.

Lamar Baseball Signs Six More to Close Recruiting Period

BEAUMONT – Lamar University baseball coach Jim Gilligan announced the addition of six more players that have signed national letters-of-intent to continue their education and play baseball for the Cardinals, bringing the total number of early signees to nine for the 2008-09 season.

A 6-3, 215-pound right-handed pitcher, Jamie Bagley was a relief pitcher at San Jacinto JC last season. He prepped at Huffman HS where he was named district MVP and a first-team all-district selection as a senior. He was drafted in the 25th round of the MLB Draft in 2006.

Chambers, a 6-2, 225-pound left-handed pitcher, is pitching at LSU-Eunice this season after hurling at San Jacinto last season. He prepped at Silsbee HS.

“Both Chambers and Bagley are weekend-type guys,†said Gilligan. “Bagley is a hard thrower and it’s nice to get Chambers, a local kid, to return to this area and play for us.â€

Interview with SFA coach Donnie Watson is in this month's edition of College Baseball Blog.  There is a mention of Alex Moshier......seems he is doing well.  Hope he is hitting the books just as hard!

FYI, juniors and seniors looking for a great place to play might consider attending Coach Watson's winter camp at SFA on 12/29/07.  Check the SFA web site for more details.
