My sentiments exactly LAZEEK. HJ, PAM, Ozen, Central, Nederland and West Brook are better than Spurger, WOS and Anahuac. Some would say they are better than Silsbee too.

I think Spurger has a better chance of going to state than HJ
That’s why I put them @ #2 and I also think WOS will go farther in the playoffs that’s why I put them @ #3

My mistake, Tiger05. I simply overlooked the "3A/2A/1A" title.

With that said, I still say HJ is better than Spurger, WOS and Anahuac.

I know that HJ would beat Spurger and Anahuac but I dont see them going as far as them in the Playoffs

That is how you have it now after you changed the post to "state picks". Your original post was just ranking the teams 1-5, which I disagreed on.

I do not agree with your rankings but I do respect your opinion................


WOS will be much improved this year, but they will still have their issues as will HJ and Silsbee learning to play without certain people and WOS will have a new coach with a new system and it will be the third coach in three years.

Silsbee will be a different team this year.....instead of trying to slow it down and bang it inside and then out like they did last year with the bigs, they will have to learn to crash the boards.  They will be very good again this year and are the district favorite again.

HJ will not have the "go to" guy that they had in Turner and a guy that can carry the entire team, but I feel they will be a better team this year than they were last year.  May not make it to the Regional Final again, but look for a better team play.  They will also be deeper this year.  Bench will actually have 3-4 contributors instead of the one or two.

I really do not have an opinion on Spurger as I have never seen them play.

Anahuac should win the district this year with EC and Kountze on their tails.

Ozen,PAM, Silsbee, HJ, and Spurger. Silsbee won't be as good as last year and don't expect them to win 30+ games. I say 25 games and Regional Finals champs. Ozen will be better than last and so will PAM. WOS is a sleeper
