Anyone want to make a bet on the game? Ill bet you 10lbs of deer sausage and 10lbs of Pecan Smoke sausage from Chappel Hill Smoke House that Silsbee loses by more than 2 TDs. Any takers?

I'll take Silsbee getting 14 points.

But I don't bet food. Money talks with me. How about a grand?

Man Silsbee better not even show up. Some people are making BC out to be the 2nd coming of Lake Travis. ::) ::) ::)
Silsbee is the defending district champs.
Silsbee 27
BC 21

Being defending district champs makes no difference.  Throw that out the window. This is 2010 not 2009. Coldspring beat OF 57-6 and OF played Silsbee close. Maybe Silsbee had a bad game, I understand that even though some of you will not give OF the credit they deserve. Thats OK, we have struggled since 2004. What some of you guys don't realize is maybe just maybe the talent is not there this year. You should support your team like I do but com'on man be just a little realistic. I am.  I promise you Coldspring would beat Silsbee bad just like they did OF. Not on the BC wagon but they have talent this year for a change. Talent comes in cycles for every school some more than others. Silsbee is lucky it is more often than others. I have picked OF to lose the last 3 weeks. I hate that but just being realistic. They proved me wrong against Jasper and I am happy for that.  You say these kids don't need to read this? Wrong, it is exactly what they need to read. Locker room material "MOTIVATION" plain and simple.

This game should be pretty close.  Based on the Tiger's run defense woes I would have to make BC a slight favorite.  However,  the Tiger's explosiveness can counter that quickly.  The schedules of these two so far are interesting.  Not sure which way to go with some of the Tiger's opponents.  Victories over Waltrip, Jasper and Cleveland.  None of these teams have  been very impressive.  Losses to Lumberton and Newton both of whom seem to be inconsistent.  The OF win was tough,  not quite sure how they stack up yet either based on their schedule alone.  They gave the Tigers all they could handle.  BC's schedule so far hasn't been too tough either.  With the exception of Kirbyville.  A game where I was impressed by the Cardinals but it was a 20 point loss.  Vidor was another good win but the verdict is still out on them as well.  BC has won the games they should win.  The Tigers have as well,  but I felt they maybe should have gotten at least one of the two that they lost. If the Tigers put a complete game together they will hand BC their second loss,  otherwise it will be a hard fought close game.

exactly.
but you can lose a game by just 1 point... they stuck with them till late in the 4th, then there was more of a reason to become desperate... the game was about to be over and they were down.

then how did that result in turning a close game to a 20 point game? Sorry desperation, to me  comes from being at least a couple scores down with little time left.  If you are close(1 score) then the desperation should only come on your last possesion.
OMG.....i cant believe what im reading. BC has a good team, but Kirbyville by far was the better team and thats why we won by 20. We didnt make the right adjustments until late in 3rd against that zone read spead. Willis Point ran the same offense with a solid qb against us after beating BC and we beat them 56-0. Seriously doubt BC want to see Kirbyville again.

AAW done deal! I'm a Silsbee grad as well but I know Silsbee doesn't win too many big games.
::)  ::)  I would not consider playing Bridge City a big game

WOS yes...... but not Bridge City

Bridge City might beat Silsbee but it will be one of those once in a blue moon wins

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
