Well as of right now only a 30% chance of getting wet Friday.. says some isolated thunderstorms. Thats what Channel 13 says anyway...

There will be no rain in Dayton during the game on friday because God loves the Broncos.

And because Coach Stewart witll press his button. Haha, the football guys always joke around that Coach has a button he pushes before practice so when it cloudy out it won't rain, and practice will not be cancelled.

What happened last year in Crosby?
I don't think it will rain Friday night.

Hey does anybody know why the Broncos never try to block a punt? It would make more sense to me if they were setting up a return, but they never return it either. Just wondering.

I've often wondered this myself.  Maybe we are saving our super secret, highly indefensible punt blocking plays for later in the year?

Broncos D gets it done and the offense comes alive....
Dayton 31
Diggs and kittens  13

I kinda lean this direction myself.... Remember the punt block against Brenham last year... HUGE and it looked like they'd been working it all year.

Maybe that's true, but it kills me when I see the other team muff a punt snap and we have no one back there to capitalize. He's probably playing it safe. No roughing the punter penalties, and after all, the most important thing is to just get the ball back. Not many high school punters are going to kick it 50 yds and pin you back inside your own 10 yd. line. Except ours!!!

This game is in Dayton correct?
Where is Dayton's stadium located now?
Where's the best place to park?
Hard to miss, it's the largest structure in the city (except for the rice dryer). Stadium is one block east of hwy. 146 as you come into town from the south. Best parking is on the home side behind the Jr. high school. (Enter off of hwy. 146)

Is there alternative parking in case that fills up?  Is it even in danger of filling up?  I seem to remember having trouble last time I went, but that was 13 years ago.
Visitor parking is still an issue (to say the least). That side hasn't changed much in 13 years. The old visitor side is now the home side with expanded seating and parking. You shouldn't have too much trouble if you get there early. If you don't, you may have to walk a little.

The parking at the Junior High itself has never filled up since the additional parking was added behind the home side (former vis. side) stands. When you see the Entergy office coming into dayton, put your blinker on and turn into the JH in about a block. If you're early, you can get a little closer to the stadium.. if not, it's just as well to park at the school and you'll get out of there a lot quicker after the game.

Yeah I don't mind walking.  That's where I parked for the last game I attended in Dayton.  The junior high you speak of was formerly the high school correct?  My grandmother used to live on 146, the next house past the high school.
that's right. forgot to mention that. ;)

You'll get on the road much quicker walking a little anyway. Be safe!

    • I will never understand why someone cares what decisions a family makes regarding their own child? Maybe Joe Burrow learns great life lessons from burning up all his eligibility sitting behind Justin Fields at Ohio State but I’m sure him and his family feel like they made the right decision by transferring to LSU, becoming the #1 pick and now being the highest paid QB in NFL history. Same for Kyler Murray, Baker Mayfield and Jalen Hurts at their first stops.    I think it was more beneficial for Reggie Branch to transfer to Crosby and end up having an opportunity to play for a state title versus staying at GCM and learning life lessons while he loses and probably doesn’t go D1 because his team is a perennial loser. If Robinson throws for 2k yards this year it’s going to be a lot better for his recruitment purposes than sitting on the bench at BH, not to mention he’s going to get significant looks because of the kids he’s on the team with and the offers/commitments they’ve already made. He’s not being taught to run from competition, he’s being taught to gamble on himself just like all those other guys I mentioned did.
    • You have found Utopia. I live in the real world.
    • Every Yuppie wants one.  Give me a V-8 with loud pipes, and they can have their electric vehicles.  Was working a major incident one day and we had a road blocked off.  Police vehicles with lights going and a kid pulls up in a Tesla.  He - let me stress that HE is sobbing uncontrollably because he is at 5% battery life and HAS to go down the road we have blocked to get to a charging station.  He pulled over and literally threw a temper tantrum because we would not let him through.
    • Have you noticed that it's always the libs that bring up race?  For a long time now whenever a lib is losing an argument or have nothing else to say they bring up racism.  Or something silly like institutional racism.  LOL!
    • Ha!  Whatever that means!
