Cardenas hit a shot at the CF. He ran up and slipped and the the ball went over his head.  Tough play on a hard hit ball right at you.  The only defensive mistake GCM made all night.  Good game by both teams.

Excellent high school baseball game. It's a shame someone had to lose. Soph. Michael Martinez kept Nederland off balance most of the night. When Ned did make contact, they hit the ball on the screws. Kirby was just nasty. I'll be suprised if he wears the Burnt Orange next year. He looked that good.

You will see softball and baseball fields from parking lot (Nederland softball is also playing at GCM)

This game was so good, they should have charged everybody an exit fee!  Wow what a ballgame!  Both pitchers threw great games, Bellow was quite impressive.  Well worth the trip from Buna to watch this one.  Congrats Big Ned!

withoutta doubt this was one for the ages kirby was just being kirby but that martinez kid really pitched a heck of a game for eight innings as well my hat goes off to him great ball game!!made sure i talked to all of the ballplayers and great bunch of kids with alotta class, may not have finished first in district but withoutta doubt the classiest team in thier district !! best of luck to both teams again tommorow but gonna be hard to beat this game tonight !!hope all made it home safe  and look forward to seeing you again!! but with the pitchers that will throw next game theres a good chance again goodluck to both teams and congrats dogs!!
