Cinco Ranch....Cinco Ranch....Cinco Ranch

Locally.....I think we'll make everyone's list because nobody beat the 80% Junior, 17% soph, 3% senior team we had last year....Now we'll be Senior heavy and very determined to meet and whip Cinco Ranch in the first round or the fourth round...or anywhere in between....

I'd like to see Dayton punch Angleton in the face at the beginning of the year.It will be fun to watch the chronicles 4-A darling get frustrated by a team (Dayton) that plays solid, disciplined defense.  I also want to see ol Ballpoint get mad and lay out Quandre Diggs when he tries to turn the corner.  (Ballpoint better be hitting the weights hard this offseason, somebody let me know how he is progressing. That kid could be really, really good)

Being the best in SE Texas don't mean much when your one of two 5A schools.

I'd like to see WB beat Tyler Lee, Katy, or Ike early on to show me what they have.  2010 aint 2009.  Its a new year, and beating one of those 3 will be a good measuring stick for their team.

:D lot of talk a bout a kid that ain't gonna be there next year. But don't worry diggs will be there next year. Should be a good game but Quandre Diggs getting laid out doesn't seem like it'll happen cuz it hasn't happened much the last 3 years cuz them cats r fast. But hopefully this is just a preview for a 3rd round playoff matchup. I would love the cats to beat Friendswood again. The cats have won 3 of the last 4 years

I was hoping they could come up with a very creative eligibility loophole for the kid.  (Thought he was a junior, maybe we can have AJ re-enroll since cougarland didn't work out) But i'd still like to watch someone put a lick on Diggs because I haven't seen it happen yet.  Also, is angleton going to get smart and stop trying to press at the line of scrimmage with their DB's?  That's what cost them the game against Brenham.

Guest GCMPats
Robert E. Lee Ganders.
That's assuming the Ganders are still in the race when the season ends. If they are not, GCM might need to rest some players for the playoffs. ;D

Crosby(for obvious reasons)...

Brenham(to achieve the 2-out-of-3 advantage)...

and I would love, more than anything, to get a clean shot at Humble somehow in the playoffs...(because I grew up w/ Humble being a big deal and intimidating...not so much anymore)

I would love to see Dayton get stomped by Humble too,.. to bad Dayton will be in Division 2 and we'll be i Division 1  ;)

too bad you guys fell into the "powerhouse" 18-4a or your playoff seeding in '10 might not be so certain...

First on my list is Waller.  We played horrible last year and didn't take that game serious and got upset.  Chances of that happening again arn't very good.  Brenham by 21+

Lamar would be second on my list.  It should have been a home game for us last year, rain caused us to move it to Del Mar Saturday morning.  We ended up losing, and they scored at the end instead of taking a knee.  Nobody in Brenham has forgot about that.

Stratford, because i'm ready to silence everybody that thinks they will win 17-4A just because they are dropping from 5A.

Aledo, because we wanna return the favor.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
