I thought I would break down the 3A top 25 poll by regions

Here is the poll:

Class 3A
1. Dallas Madison
2. [b]Cleveland[/b]
3. CC West Oso
4. [b]Hardin-Jefferson[/b]
5. Lubbock Estacado
6. Kennedale
7. [b]Lorena[/b]
8. [b]Silsbee[/b]
9. Liberty Hill
10. [b]Bryan Rudder[/b]
11. Somerset
12. Paris
13. Crandall
14. Burkburnett
15. Sweeny

Teams in bold are Region III teams



Top 25 by Regions

Region I      5 teams (Lubbock Estecado, Liberty Hill, Burkburnett, WF Hirschi, Seminole)
Region II      7 teams (Dallas Madison, Kennedale, Paris, Crandall, Argyle, Prosper, Ferris)
Region III    8 teams (Cleveland, HJ, Lorena, Silsbee, Bryan Rudder, LaVega, Mexia, Navasota)
Region IV    5 teams (CC West Oso, Somerset, Sweeny, Stafford, SA Houston)

Top 10 by regions

Region I    2 teams (Lubbock Estecado, Liberty Hill)

Obviously Region III is the toughest with 5 teams in the top 10. Curious to see after district play how the poll looks then.

Chad, I didn't mean to steal your thunder. Just was looking at this week's poll and couldn't help but notice how Region III dominated the top 10.

I agree with your last statement. When Silsbee made to Austin a couple of years ago, they didn't enter the poll till the regional tourney.

Comin to an end soon?  Are you suggesting that when the Longhorns win 2 or 3 consecutive state championships that the Hawks can no longer have a prosperous basketball program.  If so, please elaborate.
