Waller coach trying to control him on the field and the player slams his helmet to the ground.Coach should have escorted him off the field.I was thinking for a moment the Waller team might walk off the field.Well the scouts got an eye full of what's facing them soon. This year has been a horrible year from the ref's.Haven't seen this many ref conferances and it seems they cannot make a call alone.

Jesus Christ what was all that anyway....conferences after every play and they sure didn't mind throwin the flags for the ticky tack stuff all night long.  How can you make a no huddle team play reeeeeaaaaaaaalllllllllyyyyyyyyyy slow??  Have a conference in the middle of the field after every play.  Jesus what a mess those guys were.  TD, dead ball foul, let's talk it out for 5 minutes and leave the players by themselves to talk back and forth.  Let Waller guy into Dayton huddle....WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL HAPPEN???  Why #4 was not ejected is beyond all reasonable explanation.  WHY THE WALLER COACH PUT HIM BACK INTO THE GAME IS BEYOND EVEN THAT!!!  Didn't really matter but they sure lost control of that game and left us all wondering how a 3 dead ball fouls, offsetting personal fouls, and a fight can somehow nullify a touchdown and give us a third and 25???  It didn't really matter but it sure did sully the whole experience for everyone.

Finally getting some coverage! Way to go Broncos! What a great high school football day- 2 great games, back-to-back- can't ask for a better day!

Broncos dominate Waller, 41-3
By Dave Rogers
The Baytown Sun
Published November 21, 2009
SPRING – The Dayton Broncos struggled a bit with their lineup and their results during the regular season, but they appear to have hit their stride.

Starting at running back for only the second week, Xavier Frank ran for 203 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries and Dayton’s defense limited Waller to four first downs and 92 total yards Saturday night.

It all added up to a 41-3 win over the Bulldogs in a Class 4A Division II area-round playoff at Leonard George Stadium.

Dayton, 10-2, advances to play El Campo in the third round of the playoffs Friday at 7 p.m. at Houston’s Tully Stadium.

Frank ripped off a 58-yard run on the game’s third play of the game and the domination of Waller, a team on the rebound after losing its first six games, was on.

The Broncos were just 2 minutes, 2 seconds into the game when Payton Ploch scored the first of his two touchdowns on a three-yard run.

Wide receiver Gamal Fowler also scored twice, once on a 27-yard pass from quarterback Andres Herrera and again on a 23-yard fourth-quarter run.

Kicker Juan Carranco added field goals of 43 and 37 yards for the Broncos, who were District 19-4A runnersup this year after going all the way to the state championship game last season.

“This team (Waller) was hot and on a roll,” Dayton coach Jerry Stewart said after the game. “They had just beaten (District 18-4A champ and third-round playoff qualifier) Brenham in their last district game and won their playoff game last week.

“But we played well. It was the first time we’ve put four good quarters together. We’re playing good defense, to say the least. And our offensive line did a great job of blocking.

“Xavier Frank did a good job and played well for us.”

The Broncos allowed Waller single first downs on each of the Bulldogs’ first two possessions and one in the second quarter, but the defense led by Aaron Jenkins, N.L. Hines and Evan Brown gave up only one second-half first down.

Waller’s big gun, option quarterback, Miller Pierce, was limited to 58 yards on 20 carries and a long run of 28 yards, the biggest play of the game for the Bulldogs.

Pierce also had gains of 26 yards twice and a 14-yarder, but the Dayton defense, which limited him to 1-of-10 passing for 5 yards, forced many losses on him, including a 23-yard sack by Tony Hill on which the QB fumbled the ball away to Jenkins.

That set up the second Dayton score as the Broncos moved 41 yards in four play to score on Ploch’s two-yard run and take a 14-0 lead midway through the first quarter.

Ploch, who started the year at quarterback but now plays receiver, comes in as Dayton’s short-yardage signal caller. He added punt returns of 56, 21 and 24 yard to ignite the Dayton offense.

But he also punts for the Broncos, something he didn’t do well Saturday as he averaged just 8.7 yards for his three boots.

Waller’s only score came after a five-yard shank set the Bulldogs up at the Dayton 21 late in the first quarter. The Bronco defense held Waller to one yard in three snaps and Christian Castro booted a 37-yard field goal for the team that ended its season 5-7.

The subsequent punts off the side of Ploch’s foot were also covered up by a defense that forced three-and-outs, once stopping Waller on a fourth-and-five from the Bronco 14.

Dayton scored after each rescue by the defense.

It went 59 yards in seven plays after the second to set up Carranco’s 43-yard field goal as time expired in the first half.

That sent the Broncos in at halftime leading 24-3.

Early in the second half, Frank had a 35-yard touchdown run called back by offsetting unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. While the officials stood at midfield announcing the penalties, a melee broke out at the goal line, where the two teams were lined up for an expected extra-point try.

The end result was a 10-minute delay, a 15-yard penalty against Dayton and another short Bronco punt.

But when the Bulldogs punted it back to Dayton, Ploch carried it back 56 yards to the Waller 14, setting up Carranco’s 37-yard field goal.

With 7:42 left in the game, Frank capped his night and a six-play, 51-yard drive with a seven-yard touchdown run behind tackle Chance McCormack.

Herrera, Dayton’s sophomore quarterback who took over the job at midseason, was sharp as a tack, hitting 18 of 25 passes for 139 yards, with just one interception, one of two Dayton turnovers.

Armando Reyes caught seven of those passes for 81 yards.

Lets not Forget #32 Arron Jenkins. It looked to me that he had the best game of his life. I think he was in on every tackle. I am sure the QB for Waller knows who he is.

AMEN!
Just finished the 3rd qtr.
Aaron Jenkins is the TOUPS GRAPHICS ALWAYS BELIEVE player of the week!
What a HUGE game!
Wait till you see the highlights.
One of them, he picks up the QB and body slams him.
Best defensive game this year for the Broncos.
Andreas is finally starting to hit some deep routes.
Broncos are really peaking at the right time!
Bronco fans, check out my toupsgraphics website for "playoff headquarter news".  Will try to get a lot of highlights posted tongith

Dayton played their best game of the year ! Most impressive win for our Bronco's. I couldn't wait tell Waller got on offense just to see our big "D" completely dominate the game we could of kicked two field goals and won this one. Offense starting to gel QB is gaining confidence and looking crisp on his passes and young receivers are getting better every game to bad for a team that try to double Ploch they will pay. Good move putting Franks in as RB 200 plus yards and I even seen him run over people a few times. This team is loaded with weapons on both sides of the ball look foreward to the El Campo game can't see how they would be much better than Vidor on the run anyway. Its was good to see AJ Dugat and Gregory Charles show up and support their old team .  GO BRONCO'S ~~~~~~~~~~

Tried to upload videos tonight from my house.
Kept getting errors.
Will upload them tomorrow morning to youtube.
LOTS OF DEFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS!
Over a dozen tackles for losses or near no gains.
Amazing the players just go around the blockers, they are so fast.
The video of the 44 yard field goal is AWEsome!
I was under the goal post, the kick cleared by less than a yard.
Also....
Larry Scott, will be happy, I got the last two game pictures for Jack in the Box, will go and post them tomorrow after school.  Will try to get the voice over video done by Tuesday evening, it does take a LOOOOONG time to do it.
in summary....
Great couple of weeks for the kids in Dayton!  They are making the community believe again and it is AWEsome to see.
Will let you know when the videos are up tomorrow morning.
