Gladewater @ Tyler Chapel Hill *** Jasper Fans Should Take A Look***

Recommended Posts

Most have already deemed the Gilmer vs Jasper rematch in the Bi-District round of the the 3A Division 1 Playoffs, but there is one setback to this...

Tyler Chapel Hill beat Bullard 62-0 tonight in their District 17-3A contest. Other scores in 17-3A tonight are Gilmer 62 - Gladewater 12 and Tatum 56 - Longview Spring Hill 23. This gives Gladewater a 2-2 record, Tyler Chapel Hill a 1-3 record, and Longview Spring Hill a 1-3 record. Because of tiebreaker rules if Tyler Chapel Hill wins at home against Gladewater by at least 6 points, Tyler Chapel Hill would go to the playoffs as the 3rd place team, with a record of 2-3, as the Division 1 representative (because of enrollment), sending Gilmer to Division 2, and face Jasper in the first round of the playoffs...

I think this should make Jasper one of the favorites in Division 1...

Any thoughts?!?

It is kind of funny how these races play out.  CH had lost all three district game, now beat Bullard and only need to beat Gladewater by seven to advance to the playoffs as the third place team.  Even if they had not lost that game to Spring Hill by one, they still would have to beat Gladewater, but only by one point.

who will silsbee be playing in the first round, enyone know

Looks like it will be Huffman. They have to beat Tarkington(which they should) and then have Liberty lose to Coldspring(which they should) to advance to the playoffs. If not, then Silsbee will face Cleveland in the 1st round.

    • It’s actually 2, 3 or 4 cents a mile, not 30 cents. It’s still funny. You EV drivers have to pay your equivalent gasoline tax just as if you drove a gasoline powered vehicle.  The current proposal is to have an electronic device placed on your car to track mileage. Surely that can’t be GPS because that would surely violate the Fourth Amendment. The state would literally know every location that your vehicle ever traveled. The other proposed option would be to take a photograph of your odometer and send that in. I can see a new cottage industry in odometer resetting devices or a quick disconnect where you can turn it on or off at will.

    • Sorry. It was 700#, hence the question mark above.
