Who knows? Any team that can stage a comeback like the Bears did last week (against Livingston 49-41) is capable of playing with anyone. And, Lumberton is definitely in a vulnerable state right now. I say the Raiders in a close one.

I have and always will support my raiders. I still believe in them and the coaches. We are a very young team and the last 4 weeks that is what we have shown. They still have heart and play there butts off every week, but our youth and all the turnovers have been killing us. Keep your heads up boys I for one is still so very proud of you all. Keep working and you will get better. Stay focused and listen to the coaches

I have seen both teams play and I predict Lumberton by 2 scores. The Raider defense is light years ahead of LCM's and the offenses are about equal in my opinion. LC-M has the advantage of the game being at home, but I think the defensive difference will be too much to overcome.

no but their fans sure will..my brother went to that game and told me in the thrid quarter of the PNG game there were only enough fans left on Lumbertons side to fill maybe a third of their bleechers if ya would have squashed em all together. Kudos for the fans who stayed and supported your boys win or loose...to the rest..could it be a "fair weathered fan" thing going on?? Lumberton team...take your lumps and finish hard boys!!!

I want to know where all the L-Train fans are?  This thread would normally be a couple of pages long by now.  Support your team, guys.  No matter what!

Soulja, In times like these the idiots always disappear. Maybe thats why this thread isn't 2 pages long by now. If you have noticed the smack talkers have been quiet. I think Lumberton is capable of beating LCM provided they reverse some habits that have developed recently. LCM is trying to turn it around. This may be the week they take another step. I will make the drive to Orange to see what happens.

Well I can say this we were in every game but the png game. We beat ourselves in all the other games. I think we can win the last 2 games left but if we don't stop fumbling the ball we will not win another game. I'm there till the end no matter what. Lets go L-TRAIN lets go full steam ahead.

If the people who leave when the boys are behind they should just stay home,  the boys dont need you.  These boys continue to play weather you are there or not.  Its going to be raining so stay home and dry and the TRUE RAIDER FANS will be there to support the boys.

I've seen both, and I've gotta go with LCM.  Not by a whole lot, but around 10-13
[/quote]I know you are compairing LCM to when you guys played them. But I believe PNG was still finding themselves as a team a that time. Look at the outcome of the Vidor LCM game. It was not even a contest. I am interested in what happened at Livingston, but whatever it was they did not have it against us. I also know Lumberton is frustrated but still a talented team. I believe their defense will slow LCM enough and LCM will not be able to stop them from scoring. Even in the Livingston game they allowed over 40 points. JMO

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
