If WOS's flag carrier stands in the middle of the field and waves to their crowd then why not the opposing team have their flag carrier meet the other flag carrier and stand back to back and wave the opposing teams flag to their crowd. No fighting just show the same school spirit. I think standing on the hash marks closest to your stands would be better weather both teams did it or just one, but if no fights break out between the flag carriers then just have both of them stand in the middle of the field and wave their flags all they want to.

[/quote]Whats going to happen in the next 2 years? Yall win? I don't see that happening the 7Th grade a and b team all the way up to the JV beat them most of them were shut outs. One thing most of the schools around here are not familiar with is Tradition. Winning is not something that WOS just expects. Coaches drill into their players what is expected of them excellence is demanded not mediocrity.

I can't believe this thread has gone on as long as it has because of the flag carrier!  Good grief!!!!  Brookshire Royals BAND (and I have seen several other schools do it too, Nederland for one)....marches to their stands via right in front of ours and noone from WOS came on here talking about it being disrespectful.  Nederland did it, too.  our cheerleaders had to move all of their stuff off the area where they cheer so that Nederlands band could march in front of our crowd.  Not once did anyone from WOS come on here and complain about either school.  But let WOS do anything like that and we get crucified.  Once again, good grief!!!!

Gasilla can tell us. Seems like I was at that came and I believe it was a shutout. Although Chase Shugart is a good athlete, I don't think he threw one bomb much less threw them all night long. What was the score in that game Gasilla?

I'm not arguing that at all. You said he would do it all over WOS and to my recollection they have played and he didn't do it. WOS shut them out. If I'm wrong I will apologize but I feel pretty sure about them playing. Chase plays on the 7th grade team correct? I don't think our 7th grade team has given up a point yet.

I just went to the baseball thread and you made this exact comment on Saturday. You said you thought this was the year yall would win State and then you have the baseballs to come to a football thread and make this comment. You lost all credibility.

2008 Carthage 14-2 DII State Champs
2006 Texarkana Liberty-Eylau 12-3 DI State Champs
2006 Libery Hill 13-2 DII State Champs
2004 Ailene Wylie 12-3 DI State Champs
2003 Atlanta 12-4 DII State Champs
2002 Bandera 13-3 DII State Champs
2001 Commerce 14-2 DII State Champs
2000 LaGrange 14-2 DII State Champs

Half of the state title winners since 2000 have had 2 losses or more. Just because we have dropped a couple of close games doesn't mean that we don't have a shot at the ultimate goal!!!
