Some 4A schools that possibly goes down to 3A

Stephenville turned in 1033....going to be a close call since you never know what the UIL cut off will be.

I'm surprised by Stephenville's numbers. There population has grown to almost 17,000 up from around 15,000 in the 2000's and around 13,000 in 1990's and they have played in 4A for along time. Seems like they should have more kids in their school.

I'm not 100% sure, but I do believe that Tarleton State's numbers are figured into the population

I think a lot of towns like Stephenville have a lot of retirement age people moving there.  I know Brownwood has around 20,000 people and the school is 3A.  Over half the population is over 55.

I know this is a bit off-topic, but is Splendora going up to 4A next year? Considering they have over 900 students.

I dont think so..They will probably come up short by about 40 or so kids.
