***Rykerx must read for week 5 about BH vs Kingwood Park**

Recommended Posts

We folks over here east of the Trinity are smart enough to know that is KP, but I agree that ryker should add the Park to it for those slow ones west of the Trinity. ;) ;D

Folks east of trinity probably have no clue that their is a kingwood park because they haven't been around very long.  But yeah BH doesn't want any of kingwood that is for sure.

I remember that Jasper played Kingwood back in 1986.  Whipped em too in spite of the fact that Kingwood made the 5a playoffs later that year.   :)

Dear Abby,

I need your help on a matter.  I was born and raised east of the Trinity River (for that matter I was born east of the Sabine River, but that is another letter altogether).  I attended a high school and college east of the Trinity.  But in my early 20's I moved west of the Trinity and have lived there every since.  I married a woman who was born north of the Red River but was raised south of it and east of the San Jacinto River.  I now in fact live west of those who have boasted about living west of the Trinity, but still have family and friends east of the Trinity and, in fact, east of the Calcesieu.

What does that make me, Abby?

Signed,

Confused in Katy

I guess i assumed everyone should know that not only is the other Kingwood a 5A but not in their district but Kingwood Park is.  Sorry Guys

Not all district have started playing district games.  There are so many new teams these days that it is hard to keep up with all of them.  You have kingwood, kingwood park, and college park all within 30 miles or so.

Out of mear interest, I was curious if any of the post indicating that people "West of the Trinity" were as dumb as many have posted here.  Just for fun, I looked at the 2008 TASK scores for the State of Texas and guess what?  Not one 90% or greater passing rate "East of the Trinity".....  To bring it full circle and back on subject, guess you think football is better East as well?

BH over KP by 17.

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. Texas does not have party registration, but a voter’s primary voting history is public. The Covey campaign has not released its methodology behind its claim, but  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  by The Texan news website found that 9% of Republican voters in the March District 21 primary had voted in one of the previous four Democratic primaries. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep.
