Your opinion's good.  But I bet the players they had had a lot to do with their success.  IMO.

To have forgotton means to have once known.  Never heard of him.  Fill us in.

So, the only way one can predict a game is one has to know certain individuals?  Bizarre.  But I'm sure the game will be boring to some and manna to others.

PS - The name still means nothing to me until he proves what he can do without the old Central HC and the Central players.

But on the other hand, if he's that good, then I'll predict a Central loss.  How about that?  ;D

PN-G fan, are you kidding?  For the PN-G game, there will only be one new coach, not two.  You'll have to use a different example.

But I will say this much, I did see the PN-G spring game and was not as impressed with what I saw as some are.  I left after half time because I was bored.  So, it may be boring.

Boring = Two new coaches trying to find their way.

Central.  But it will be boring.  As a side note:  I think the first game will give a glimpse that Memorial may have picked the wrong individual as their HC.  Don't get me wrong, he'll run an ethical program.  But what shows up on the football field, well, I think that will be a different story.  I hope I am wrong, though.

Who takes it?

Why do you think it'll be boring?  I think it may be a little sloppy early, but boring?  What's a boring football game anyways?  A low scoring game?

So I guess PN-G's opener will be a 'snore', right?  You are a PN-G fan, right?

Just spouting off then.  Just as I first thought.  I've never heard of someone that can predict a 'boring' game.

Memorial, but I support all local High Schools and I wish our new coaches the best of luck. I was curious to know why you had to make the comment about Port Arthur picking the wrong coach. I think that was a comment you could have kept to yourself. Especially with the amount of kids that read this site.

There were not two new coaches in them games either.  You must have forgotton the original statement.  ::)  ::)

Nederland.  And you?

Smitty which local High School do you support?

I can now see why you would think the Titan/Jaguar game would be boring...  I guess the WO-S and Central games vs. Nederland last year were boring as well, huh?   ::) ::)

Was there a boring Jag game in 2005 with our new coach when we won district?  Was there a boring game in 2002 with a new coach when we made the playoffs?  You're not making sense right now...

In these games you refer to, were there two new coaches on the field?  If not, we are not talking about the same thing.

Real Talk Son, my facts are in order...Tony Brown was DC by title only...he brought a lot of things to the Jags but Defensive Scheme wasn't one of them...That was Stowers D and Brown took it w/ him to Ozen and he's running it in PA now!

He never called plays at Central...that was Stowers

Pretty forceful statement!  Sounds like someone has some inside info.  It sounds like it was all Stowers afterall.  Any other opinions?

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries.
