Bridge City has been a winner in baseball for many years with Coaches like Young, Moore, Bryant and now Landry.

WOS football has been a winner with Coach Hooks for many years. If WOS had 4 different coaches in the same time period would they have been a winner all these years?

That is a tough question because of all the talent WO-S has year in, year out. They would have been a winner but maybe not as dominant. The discipline and hardwork Hooks brings is the key.

I agree I was not knocking Landry by any means but a big fan of Billy Bryant.  I think the kids did a great job.

We haven't had to find out, but I guess if we did...we would certainly be no bc, right?  LOL

My point was anyone can have talent, but most still require coaching and discipline outside of their parents and little league.  If Coach Hooks and Coach T left the Mustangs tomorrow, the kids who have been through T's off-season program would still have discipline, etc. that he instilled in them.  Not the ones who haven't been exposed.  It's kind of the same situation because many of our kids have played and been very successful, but they still have to be "coached"...just a little credit where sometimes not enough is given.
