Look, Nederland has serious talent this year, the thread is three pages long and we're just now talking about Salenga, by the way he's a soph, he's a stud.  Folks are going to find that if Nederland tackles and plays defense this year that they will be something.... SERIOUS to contend with.  They have somewhat fallen off the regional map over past 3-4 years, but that is about to change.  I think week zero will be a real measuring stick.  I know folks think WOS rolls in this one, but I think Nederland will win, especially at home, and their offensive weapons will be the reason, they are FREAKIN loaded on offense.

How can it be better??? We lost Nothing on offense, our QB and receivers have another year under their belt in the spread, watch for Bellows to ABSOLUTELY light people up this year after essentially a learning season last year where he led the area in passing.  Cardenas flat out stud, has the tools to be the best receiver to lace em up in Nederland after it's all said and done, Brady who is a burner as well only a junior, Salenga a soph who could start at TB if needed, Vidrine who's no slouch on his own.  Now you're throwing State qualifier 400 / 800 Krautz along with the beast Grogan tag teaming in the backfield.  You've got Baylor signee and camp phenom over the summer S. Huber... dude should I go on.   Trust me, folks are going to struggle slowing Nederland down, much less stopping them.  WO-S will be a great test in week zero, but I think the Dogs will be up to the challenge.

Blue is just tryin to get his jabs while he still can. The Raiders and Creduer's honeymoon will come to an end sooner than later. I really dont see Slumberton doin all that much this year, especially after losing the amount of players from last years team.

Nederland is very stout on the offensive side of the ball and with some better run blocking this season, the Dogs can do some damage. The defense needs to step it up this season and remember to put their helmets in someones sternum. I think Nederland has the POTENTIAL to do great things this year.

Lose players Lose Players, yea yea yea. Your QB is not going to have 30 min to stand back there and throw the ball against our D.

Look bro, I'm not doggin on yall man. The group that you had last year had been playin together as a whole on the varsity level for 3 years. When you lose the bulk of what made you what yall were last year, it is inevitable that yall will have too deal with some growing pains once again. Who knows? Maybe lightning will strike twice and the Raiders will prove everyone wrong another time. I just highly doubt it

Nederland on the other hand will need a major overhaul in the Offensive Line area to even have a chance of making play-offs this year. Yes, one of them is a Baylor Bear commit, but one man does not an O-Line make. It takes all 5!

a 7-3 team last year with what we have coming back, neuman at the helm!

hopefully good things will come back to the bulldogs,i know we played terrible the

last couple of games last year, but hey this is now, that was then!! we should of learned

from it and matured from it.

How has Central coped with the QB/WR loss ? Last year WR starter and this year QB no longer there ? That would be a talent level loss at NED something like  losing both Bellow and Brady. How do they fix that ? Anyway, the Jags are a team I admire now. They seem to have things together with Stower. Neumann was all this program needed. It is really a shame when programs with the athletes like Lincoln and Ozen can not do better than they have. Don't get me wrong, I like the Dogs to win them all, but I relish the fight. Get there stratching and clawing. As a fan Butt kickings can be a lift but they are BORING ! Not what I have come to love about Texas high school football. That's why the WO-S coming back get me going. I LOVE IT ! HOOKS ! GET OFF THE FIELD ! Seriously good luck to all 20-4A (except one game ! ) and no injuries. We want a defeat over your best. I'm an SEC fan (LSU) and I think since they play against the best in their own conference it can give them some advantage later on. I'd like to think this district could become the same way. There are a few teams in this district with records that don't show it, but can never be taken lightly. Let's all play some good clean ball and may the best team prevail and let's support them when they do !

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
