I would put my money on nederland. Last year they were loaded with young talent.

i would agree...pretty much all 11 starters back with deep bench..should be fun

Not necessarily 4a, but Kelly girls should make a comeback to TAPPS state returning five of their top players on the team.

a top returning team has to be the westbrook boys varsity after a disapointing season last year not making the playoffs however there are not a young team as they were last year and should fair well in a weaker devision.

im not sure i understand your reasoning. i dont think west brook will be any better(or worse) as a team, they may have a better record but as you said its because of a weaker district.

well one of the reasons they will be better is that they will not have a bunch of kids who are just playin their first year they will be more eperenced and no how to play togeter

Vidor lost Tim Reynolds and one other starter on defense... They WILL be pretty good... And I'm willing to be ridiculed if they aren't...

It takes more than one year for a team to grow together and be succesful without individual talent. For example Kelly was so good last year bc we played together for at least four years most of us for longer. also we had loads of inividual talent.. And i agree with aries , vidor will be good also. the nederland/vidor game should be a fun game to watch for soccer fans

The only thing that sucks is the way the districts were split up... So the only way we'll see Vidor vs PNG/Nederland is in one of the tourney's... Or in the playoffs... But nonetheless it will be a good match-up either way...

Coach Corea and I set up a game for January.  I don't have my calendar, but it's either Tuesday the 20th or the 27th I think.  The PNG Tournament (the last weekend of January on the new turf!) should allow for some interdistrict match-ups, too.

Vidor, Lumberton, Livingston, Silsbee, Hardin Jefferson, and Jasper.

WO-S, LC-M, PN-G, Nederland, Central, and Ozen.

Top four from each district will make the playoffs next year.

i think ozen will return un stoppable if u pay attention ozen has gotten better and better every year and have a team of majority who have already played together and are goin to play offs this year oh and central aint got nothin for us!!!!!!!!

Nederland has the strongest returning team in the district. Looking at their pre-district schedule they will be battle tested when district rolls around. Coach B is getting them boys ready with one of the toughest schedules I have ever seen. Practice starts Monday, can't wait.

Based on TASCO preseason rankings, 2 local 4a girls teams are on the top in Region III and 1 boys team.  Here's to hoping they live up to their rankings.

It will be competitive again this year.  LC-M has some young talent and a good coach so I expect that they will be in the hunt.

How about the Lumberton Raiders? They may have lost Waldrup, but one man does not make a team. There is a lot of talent returning.
