This is the first time since 1967 that Jasper went winless in district. (3-12 in district the last three seasons)

Also the first time since the 1998 & 1999 seasons where they missed the playoffs in consecutive years.

Jasper took the air out of the ball most of the game. A heavy dose of backups and both teams running the ball and letting the play clock run down in the second half kept the score low. On a positive note, the game was 1/3 of the way to the deer lease, and because the second half only took about 45 minutes I got here at 12:30 instead of 2:00 like I was worried about.

My kicker tonight was 6/6 on touchbacks, 4/4 on XPs, and 1/1 on FGs.

The horns will face Athens in the first round. I was a little surprised by the Athens/Canton score, but Athens’ stud qb went down with an ankle injury in the 2nd quarter. Not sure if he’ll be able to go next week or not. Also lost their running back before the half. He went out in the 3rd quarter but ran it once and had to go back out.
